Cool tent! Ya a lot of the time I really appreciate when things are simple. It really seems that the phases go: start simple, start getting close to over build things, and finally pull back by simplifying to find some balance. At least that’s how it goes for me. Some of my favourite setups...

no offence, but I kinda feel like you are the human version of Ai lol. The frenchy pre Ai, like clippy *joking* In all seriousness I am sure modifying your vehicle in any way can stress stock parts. I doubt lifting the back 1 inch will cause an issue and don’t see how blocks vs shackles would...
  15. Overland Build - Lift, Tires, bed slide, bed panels, sleeping... On going

Ok thanks for the feedback. So you have experience where your u joints failed or leafs wore out prematurely? Ouch! I wonder, how many have actually had this experience with a simple 1” lift ? Also since the truck was sagging by about 1”, wouldn’t that mean I simply corrected that issue making...

Can you elaborate on that? Which brand of shackles, what vehicle, what went wrong or didn't work, what weight at the back etc? I am just curious as this is the first time I've tried them, so far I am happy.
  17. Overland Build - Lift, Tires, bed slide, bed panels, sleeping... On going

Yes I was agonizing on how to approach it as well, new leafs, air bags etc. it came down to budget for me, and I am very happy so far. No issues yet, they are doing exactly what I needed them to do, lift the rear up about an inch. I figure that before I leveled it, that’s how the suspension is...
