Hey guys, always lots of good information, new experiences and reasonable advice available on this forum. Thanks to the people who take the time.
The one thing I find myself asking, as I read some of the issues and resolutions, is what year was that Ranger? I am driving a 2023 Lariat in Canada...
Wow! You can't make that stuff up! Your detailed possible explanation is very much appreciated and I will present it to the dealer, if needed.
I was going to have a look at the sensors myself but decided to book an oil change service for 2 weeks away and see if this reoccurs.
Again, thanks.
Interesting this is still happening. Just experiencing it now on my 2023. I was just reading a more recent thread that was describing similar issues. It's great to have a little background to take to the dealer. I'm going to book service for next week or later. I'll see if it happens again...
Did you guys get this resolved? I just had the entire hill assist, abs, traction control, park assist, power steering and maybe another issue. Started as I was leaving my laneway.
No change for a 40 minute drive. On my return trip, it all cleared up. -15C and some snow. I was really hoping it...
I had a similar episode this week. After a couple of snow events and after brushing off the sensors, a periodic warning, sound and picture, also front right. It happened several times over two days but not since. I believe this happened last winter also.
I don't think they expect you to charge anything more than a laptop at 150 watts. I can't see an extension cord making a difference but no expert here!
Are you in the US? I can't find anything regarding Ford accessing my driving habits. I didn't take the hour to read every section but picked the ones likely to contain anything. I'll look again if you provide a sub heading of some sort. Maybe Canadian rules differ?
2023 Lariat. I had my rear differential redone at about 12,000 kilometres. The service advisor informed me it seemed to be a much upgraded unit.
Best of luck to you.
Just started having the same blower issue. Knock it down a peg and it stops. The first time it happened I figured something had burrowed in through the cabin filter but it was pristine. White the shudder on high!
I get it. I now have a noisy fan on high and spongy brakes. The first 11 months were great! I really like everything about the truck. Trying to ride out these issues without losing it.
I should be clear, I could hear the noise coming from the rear, somewhere. It was subtle, not alarming but obviously new and indicating something amiss. I called in right away but drove it for a few days, with no change. The service guy said it did get louder while they had it. (3-4 days).
Here's my experience. 2023 Lariat crew 4WD.
Odd noise out of nowhere around 12,000 km.
Dealer first changed the driveshaft, not it.
Second time in the rear diff plug was covered in shrapnel, including a spring! New diff was totally different, including more bolts on the cover. They figured maybe...
I have a 2023 Lariat. Great truck but had a drivetrain noise from the rear at 12,000 kms.
Dealer had trouble locating it but followed a TSB relating to vibration. After driveshaft replacement, still present. Currently in the shop for rear differential. Other than that, great truck!
Update:
New driveshaft ordered and replaced. No significant difference made. Differential magnetic plug now has shrapnel and a spring stuck to it.
New differential being installed this week.
Seems not to be a common problem.
Mine came with factory mats that didn't quite have the coverage I liked. I purchased Tuxmats. I haven't used the fasteners yet and they stay very well in place with great coverage. Costco sell them under another name, cheaper but same mat. I plan to fasten them in properly.
