doing a mix of port and direct injection would solve this
something similar to diesels "regen cycle" where it would use port for a little bit at sustained highway speeds
I don't know what the issue is either. When people want a 6.5' bed and don't want 4 doors, an f150 is probably a better option when looking purely at size.
I think looking at the current f150 vs an f150 from 97-04 there is a large and noticeable size difference. The ranger appears to be more of...
A single cab standard bed (6.5') is the shortest combination of f150 that was made then. And that configuration is common from what I've seen on the road, especially for work trucks.
Those are near identical to the current ranger (f150 is 208" ranger is 210.8")
Now, a water heater is likely in the garage.
My 02 F150 which is basically the same length as the current ranger fits in front of it with inches to spare. It fits in the other side of the garage without issue. With a tankless water heater there would be an extra 2'+ on the side that would've...
Crew cab 6' bed is what I want
It's the main reason I don't have a current ranger, that, and the dated interior.
It will fit in a garage. It will be tight, but it will fit. Probably less than 2' of extra space around it
This would be best for sure.
I'm hoping for one. I'm not into having an entirely electric vehicle but I could get down with a partial, especially since the towing with an electric vehicle is near impossible for the range I need/want.
I switched to commuting on a motorcycle about 3 years ago and cut my fuel costs in half and eliminated my toll bill. The break even point for the purchase price was 2 years.
Other than that, if I'm going somewhere further than work, I'm not slowing down and adding significant time to my drive...
some information that might help
( 100,000 miles / 20 mpg ) * $4.00 = $20,000 in fuel
vs
( 100,000 miles / 22 mpg ) * $4.00 = $18,181 in fuel
Nearly $2000 saved over 100k miles.
How much of a headache and being cautious about your driving are you willing to put up with for $2000 over (maybe) 8...
california can go f itself
No one cares what their asinine requirements are.
5gallon VP containers or styles like it are and have been in use for decades.
keep in mind that you don't have to worry about DOT if you don't have a license
Impossible, you are a man from ZA, you have to be Johan.
Living near Johannesburg (I see the GP) you definitely should've gotten an auto, I agree.
I wish we could get the diesel option here and the everest too.
If I can wait until the US release, this will be my next truck.
Interior is so much better imo. The current ranger's interior is not fitting of a 40k truck (Lariat).
Rear vents is a great addition as well.
Hoping the US version gets a plug in hybrid with the 2.0 ecoboost.
Hoping it can fit...
