I was just saying that it was possible and trying to show that the decal doesn't necessarily prove that is an FX4. As mentioned by myself and others the VIN should be enough to prove it should a potential buyer challenge you on it.
I'm losing track here with this is a truck vs. not a truck talk. Are these cars or trucks? Inquiring minds want to know . ?
Note, the last one has a spare in the bed but it has a sliding rear window. So now I'm totally confused. ;)
That YouTube video he shared is even more funny if you click the gear icon and change the playback speed to 0.25 which makes it slow motion. It makes the narrator sound drunk and maybe what you would expect for someone launching a truck off a cliff with a parachute. ?
Hi Phil, do you know where I can get a parachute to fit my 2019 Ranger? I want to drive out to the Grand Canyon and try this. ?
Edit: Also watching that commercial it shows how much things have changed over the years. There was no "Do not try this," or "Performed in a controlled...
I would think the VIN number would be enough to identify it as being a FX4. Also someone could probably buy an FX4 decal and put it on a non-FX4. So that decal really doesn't mean a lot.
I have another small one. I wish the crew cab doors opened a bit wider. They open okay but seem limited more than they could be.
This is more of a personal complaint based on a small issue I have. I ended up buying some folding steps to help my dog get in and out. They are 16 inches wide...
I'm of the same opinion with dealer decals and plate frames. When I bought my Ranger the dealer had a plate frame he was about to put on and I told him no thanks. I feel that if they want to advertise their dealership on my vehicle then I should get something for doing it aside from a cheap...
Welcome to the forum and your new Ranger. It looks great. There are lots of friendly people here and truck loads of interesting topics. So stick around. :)
Welcome to the forum and your new Ranger. That adventure from Alaska to Argentina will probably be exciting when you can do it. Make sure to keep us updated once you start the trip. :)
That sucks that you were judged that way. But I'm glad it worked out in your favor. My grandparents owned a clothing store several decades ago. I remember hanging out there as a kid and them telling me to never judge a customer on what you think they can afford or how they are dressed. So...
Welcome to the forum. I like how you said you did "a few things". Your Ranger looks great but for me, my few things so far was replacing the antenna with a Stubby and putting in WeatherTech floor mats and a rear seat cover. I guess we have a different view on what a few things are as it seems...
Not to devalue your complaint, but I can adjust the lumbar support in my Ranger. I don't have the Lariat with the power controls. The round knob beside the seat adjusts mine and I dialed it in to where it is comfortable for me.
That's just a plastic brand badge with the name and number of the installer and should not void the warranty should it be removed. Upon installation I was given warranty paperwork that has my VIN and date it was installed. That should be enough as far as I know and my warranty paperwork...
Hi Phil, thanks for the info as always. :). I figured those threaded holes as well as the rest had the potential for use since they were there. That is why I asked my Line-X installer not to cover them in the event I wanted to use them some day. I edited my earlier posts with some...
When I had my Line-X put in I made sure they didn't cover any threaded holes in the event I wanted to add something later. They gladly accommodated that. I had the middle tie downs but there are a few others threaded holes like near the side of the tailgate that I think are for accessories of...
Put a very small, about 1/4 inch dent on the edge of my driver's side door. I opened the door too wide and hit it on the doorknob of the door going from my garage in to the house. It didn't chip the paint and it is hard to see, but now that I know it is there I'll see it every time.
