I used rain x ceramix which generally worked great on the painted parts and the red portion of the vinyl but the black portion... Not so much. I'm about to go guinea pig this one and throw everything at it. Maybe project farm will pick it up even. ?

I'd be satisfied with yours as well, mine is much more out, like pulled from the vehicle and the overlap is larger. I'm going to get out there soonish to take a closer look. I'll post an actual picture to give a better idea.

Thanks @Msfitoy, I wasn't sure there would be that much play but that's certainly less error prone then the big hammer. [edit] With a 16mm and the help of a 2x4 I got it exactly the same as the other side. There is a lot of play in there, cheap fix though.

I'm all if 5'7"ish and yeah, it's high for me but so is the top shelf. I will concede that getting myself hoisted into the back requires more effort but I'm going to blame that on being the correct weight if I was 7'10".
