Forgot to mention: So I still have another/extra "retail" and painted-label version on my garage shelf... and grabbed it to compare. I examined the oil-openings... they look the same & have the same numerical markings too. Just by holding in hand, they feel like they weigh the same too...

So I did a recent oil change on my Ranger using Motorcraft Oil filter... Found a deal on AMZN & ordered five of 'em... Received them today & I inspected them... they look completely different then the one I purchased "retail" some time ago... Logo on the new one are stickers & the cap end...
