I -only- notice it when I'm in city traffic and just slowly coming to a stop at a light or stop sign and it attempts to lurch out of my control at the last second. Totally makes me feel like and probably look like I'm not in control of the vehicle.
I've just had mine about a month and this has bugged me from the start. I'm also glad it's not just me. It's not a solution, but we're not crazy either.
Ditto for me. It may be 'normal', but it's not 'normal'. I'm heading out for the first time today in a minute. I'm going to try keeping it in 'S' for this trip to see if that has any bearing. Originally, I thought it was the wonky 'auto-engine stop' thing kicking in, but I think now that's...
I have noticed that the trans always skips 2nd gear as I come to a stop. And further, regularly, and I think only when it's not fully warmed up, is that it lurches, gallops or surges when I come to a stop and it finally hits 1st. It's almost like it wants to run away from me at the red...
Thanks again for the photo with the tray removed. I really don't want to take mine out again unless I'm prepared to get the job done, yet I need to see what kind of room there is to run wires, etc. Any additional photos with the tray out would be appreciated!!
I can't find a place where the Lightforce fascia is available for sale (CBFASCIA). I suppose that's a known issue or does anyone have a source in the US?
Displayed in a fixed position, the blue field is always in the upper left corner, whether the flag is displayed horizontally or vertically. When in motion, the blue field is always forward, thus on the driver's side of the vehicle, blue field is upper left as usual. Same flag displayed on the...
Well, that would work for the 800D very well. I have a mic extension cable coming this week for the XPR5550 which would allow me to remote-locate the mic for it as well. Nice.
Thanks for the follow-up. I have a couple radios to choose from with detachable faceplates (Motorola XPR 5550 & CS800D, both used for DMR). I would like to explore a mic extension like you have so the mic cable doesn't have to drape across the nav screen. I like the clean look you have.
Thanks....the bottom line for me is that I'm going to mod a tray (I bought a spare) to mount some 2-way radio gear, so it's going to have to come out fully at some point and the modded one going in. Next hurdle is actually popping it loose. It feels like something is going to break. Why can't...
I know, tell me about it. When I was trying to look under it without popping the two main attachments, I could see the underlying plastic was bowed like almost a full inch. That's when it's new and flexible. Later....CRACK.....
You win.....it did take a rubber mallet and way more of a whack than I would have ever thought. I had already pressed down as hard as I could, given the awkward angle, but WHACK and all edges are down! Thanks to all...!!
Mine had no gap from the factory whatsoever. Seems like those little front hooks did keep the front lip down, just that once pushed away to release them, they aren't strong enough to catch again and hold the tray down. Something sure kept it down from the factory because now it simply won't...
Thanks, the two main push-in's are still fully seated, so pounding on them still leaves the facing edge sticking up about 3/16" from the dash. It's almost as if the two small tabs are a one-and-done thing, too weak to catch again under whatever ledge they grabbed before removal. I have a brand...
