  1. LIGHTNING BLUE Ranger Club Thread

Looks great; the white letter tires look good, too! Congrats; your patience with the order paid off.
  2. Best Tire Shine product

@SRAces tires look great (perfect, actually), black, and not shiny! When I see glossy tires, I think, "what's the point of that?" Were tires glossy like that when they came from the tire factory, or when installed by Ford? Nope. Nine times out of ten, when the tires are glossy, there's crap...

Geez! You licked the door handle? Really? Who does that? LOL
  4. Race Red Ranger spotted - 2020?

That's an HPR (referring to the Ranger in the video); RR is a non-metallic, I think. The BAP HPR looks good! 14 August: Just now noticed the pics of the "prototype" RR; it looks good, but prefer the HPR over RR. RIP HPR! :crying:

kevb, if you leave PA now you can probably be in WA before BDoc gets back from his trip. Bidding War!!
  6. 1200 Miles and Wrecked

I second that, except maybe reverse the order. DashcamTalk has lots of good info and reviews.
  7. 1200 Miles and Wrecked

Looks like a case of wrong place, wrong time, coupled with an unfortunate lady who thinks she can lie her way out of admitting fault. Glad to hear you're OK; sorry about your truck.
  8. LIGHTNING BLUE Ranger Club Thread

Hey, you got my truck! I had to go down to the garage and make sure it's still there. :whew: Congrats! :sunglasses:
  9. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

For those of us who didn't order, but bought off of a lot from dealer stock, is there a way to determine the actual production date (day of the month)? I know mine was produced in June (from the driver door sticker), but am curious about which day it rolled off of the line. The stickers...
  10. Colored lug nuts

Bolt preload and mystery are synonymous. (bastard-ization of a Bill Boeing quote related to propellers)
  11. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Getting any sleep? Can't wait to see the pics! Did you get the white-lettered tires?
  12. Amateur Radio/Antenna Installations

How much were the trays? Hopefully, not too bad. When I test fit the FT-847, screws on the bottom of the unit dug into the front flange of the tray. I figure, what the heck, these trays are probably not too expensive.
  13. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Cool photo. Did you use headlights from another vehicle to light it up like that?
  14. Dashcam Install

The van pulling trailer was at fault there; he was traveling in the RH LH turn lane and moved back into the LH thru lane. The Toyota SUV was minding its own business.
  15. How many miles do you have now?

404 The drive from Murfreesboro, TN dealership to Marietta was about 210 miles. My commute is 3.2 miles (round trip).
  16. Looking to buy these wheels

You might periodically check with Metro Wheels ((770) 423-0440) here in Marietta/Smyrna on South Cobb Drive. They maintain a stock of used OEM wheels. I doubt they have that particular wheel this early in the production run, but they do have national reach to/from various sources/suppliers.
  17. Has anyone done a complete 2019 Ranger oil/filter change by themselves yet?

Or pound a large screwdriver through the middle of it from above (not sure if feasible) as close to the filter boss as possible and loosen it that way; take the wheel off to improve leverage. This is all notional since I haven't poked around in there yet.
  18. Has anyone done a complete 2019 Ranger oil/filter change by themselves yet?

I had similar issue with RAV4 filter years back. I now let the engine run for a little bit before trying to remove the filter. I attempt to loosen the filter prior to draining the oil. That way, if I have to drive to a quick-lube place to get them to loosen the filter (they did it for free...
  19. What car/truck are you replacing with the new Ranger?

2005 MINI Cooper S Parting with this supercharged ball of fun was NOT easy.
