I have a 2020 Lariat FX4 w/ the Fox 2.0 kit installed.
Mounted Toyo Open Country A/T 3’s in 265/65R18
Been very happy with them!
Main reason I went with them is the fact that they are only ~4lb’s heavier than the factory tires. Almost all other options on the market are 10+ lb’s heavier.
Incorrect.
Take 2 identical shocks and put a 2” longer spring of the same rate on one of them, the one with the longer spring will ride stiffer.
Spring rate is calculated as pounds per inch. Preload it more and the rate increases.
My Ford Performance Fox 2.0 rears did say specifically to mount body-down.
There’s pros and cons to both mounting orientations. I tend to follow what the manufactures say though.
I would look at Ammo Hydrate.
Larry was the first to develop a drying agent which both prevents spotting as while as providing lots of lubrication for whatever you’re using to dry the car.
Many manufactures quickly came to the market with something similar after he released Hydrate.
The rear shocks are the same as the stock shocks dimensionally except for maybe a 1" longer overall stroke (giving you the ability to raise the rear if you wanted to). I can assure you that your stock FX4 shocks are not perfectly fine... My truck had 1,200 highway miles on it when i put the Fox...
Although E85 does have a high resistance to knock (equivalent to some 100 octane race fuels) it has about half of the actual energy of raw non-ethanol gas. Because of this, roughly 50% more fuel needs to be supplied to the engine under most conditions. (Methanol and other alcohol fuels can...
Not inexpensive, but I whole heartedly believe that these are the best quality car covers on the market: https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/shop/2020-ford-ranger/
I didn't actually measure the heights before. Sorry.
I do know that out of the box, the kit wasn't even close to being "pre-adjusted from the factory to level your truck." Left/right was off by more than 1/2" and the front was almost 3/4" taller than the rear.
Ford Performance/Fox 2.0 leveling kit installed with stock 18” chrome package Lariat wheels.
Heights adjusted so front sits 7/8” lower than the rear unweighted.
Tires are Toyo Open Country AT3 265/65R18
Tires have less than 2000 miles on them. Off a 2020 Lariat FX4 chrome package truck.
Size is 265/60R18
Asking $250 for all 4 picked up within 50 miles of 12943
I think that is the main difference between the Ford Performance and the aftermarket Fox kits. The coil spring on the FP kit being 2" longer in overall length puts the threaded collar lower on the shock body and allows for more overall lift height. (Assuming that the shocks on both kits are...
Just installed the Ford Performance Fox 2.0 leveling kit.
I hope everyone has checked their truck for level with this kit. I know they are advertised as “preset out of the box” but mine weren’t even close.
1/4” difference in height from left to right and the front was about 1” taller than the...
2020 Lariat FX4 Supercab.
Mods so far are Westin HDX running boards, Gatorback mud flaps, Toyo Open Country AT3 265/65/r18’s, Ford Performance Fox 2.0 leveling kit.
Next on the list is Ford Performance tune to hopefully gain back some MPG’s that I lost from the level/tires.
For those of you...
Would be curious to see a before and after as well.
Stock truck running 93 octane and FP tune with 93 octane. Try to control as many variables as possible.
