Consider yourself lucky that they didn't work on it. I do my own changes. Hardest part is going underneath to drain the oil cause I'm a fatty. The oil filter is easy to get to through the drivers side wheel well. Costs me $30 bucks total for oem filter and motorcraft oil from walmart.

Few tips. If you decide to buy from ebay, make sure the top tabs are still good. The tab near the grille holds the corner of the grille down so the corner of the grille won't be loose. To remove the grille, dont press down on the tabs! That's how I broke mine even though a few different youtube...

I go to the diy car wash. I hose it with the pressure soap, give it a nice spotless rinse and drive off. No spots, swirls or dirty cloths. 5 bucks for 10 minutes.
