I had the Hankooks. I replaced at around 38k in November with winter coming. There was tread left but not enough for New England weather. They were getting a little squirrely last winter.
Switched to Falkens.
If you're trying to keep cost down, there is always sticking with a corded tool as well. Most of the battery powered tools will be fine for casual use.
I personally use Black and Decker and have never had issues. They're inexpensive, have nice features and the batteries are interchangeable...
I just upgraded my oem Hankooks with Falken Wildpeaks. I went up one size to 265/65/18's and I'm shocked at how much more stable these are over the oems.
I'm about 1" larger in diameter but no rubbing on the stock height. Love them!
Yup, high beams used to be activated by a button on the floorboards. I think they started moving away from that in the 80s.
I recall the button getting kinda crusty....
I noticed mine looking strange the other day....like a piece of leather. I reached up and found that all of the coating was still there but it was lifted off of the surface.

IPhones are notorious for have poor antennaes and poor switching technology...and that goes for Samsung as well. Switching takes place during hand-offs between towers or wifi areas. That's where the dropped calls happen.

I use a $30 bluetooth earpiece. I prefer to keep my conversations private. I don't think people realize that when talking over car bluetooth, everyone outside of the car can hear the conversation.
