  1. Auto start/stop quit working today.

Battery is less than 2 months old from Ford. I may just take it in. I'll try resetting the BMS to see if that fixes it first
  2. Auto start/stop quit working today.

Thanks. Not entirely sure those answers apply in this situation. I'm pretty sure I met all conditions, plus the fuel economy gauge will tell you why ASS is not working at the moment but I am not getting any message there. Just says unavailable. Also ASS was working fine earlier on my drive.
  3. Auto start/stop quit working today.

Hello, Today on my drive to work I was stopped at a light, I slightly took my foot off the brake and the ASS tried to start the engine but it was a ROUGH start. Engine sounded like it wasn't firing on all cylinders. It eventually got going but there was some warning (Orange ASS symbol) that...
  4. 2019 model coolant intrusion in oil?

Has the engine ever overheated? You may be able to take it to Ford and have them do it. even if out of warranty Ive heard they sometimes take care of things like this.
  5. Diff fluid switch to Synthetic and skid plate

Did your diff not come with a drain port? Or do you need to remove the cover to install the plate?
  6. New FordPass app just sux, literally worthless to actually use.

What is your oil change interval at? Ford Pass says 3000....I know it used to be 10k, at least on my old 19 Ranger. Can the OCI be changed to alert you sooner? I wonder if previous owner changed this.
  7. Blown motor ..

Probably not. But I'm not aware of a F150 engine recall. But I don't follow that stuff too close. Speaking of F150s...my friends dad just blew his turbo v6 F150 while towing. 2018 with like 80k miles. Ford is replacing for him. I suspect it's a defect but the guy may not have changed oil...
  8. Report your MPG

Dang that's pretty good. Is that a 2WD truck? Do you have a special tune for the 91 octane?
  9. Blown motor ..

Exactly. I would say there are way bigger issues on other trucks. Like the recent 22-23 Toyta Tundra engine recall due to bearings failing from debris left in the engine.
  10. Blown motor ..

Just curious can you post your oil sample results. I can post mine too when I get home but mine seemed pretty good. Doing 5k oil changes.
  11. The Dreaded Water in Spark Plugs (TSB 21-2147)

I had the sane issue and they did not cover my engine cover....I had to buy and install myself.
  12. Engine Mount Damage

I checked it out today. Welds still look good and the bracket isnt too badly bent. Just scraped bad. May have a friend reinforce the welds.
  13. Engine Mount Damage

Dang so the whole bracket broke at the weld!? I was looking at the ARB skid plates, but I don't want the whole set, just the front one. Mine is still stock height. Need to lift it. I'll check this weekend to see how bad the damage is. So far I haven't noticed aby weird noise or driving issues.
  14. Engine Mount Damage

Hey y'all, went off roading this weekend and let my buddy drive. I think he may have braked right before he hit a rock and the truck bumped it pretty bad. We werent going very fast but the part looks mushroomed and bent a little. I only have the OEM skid plat and it doesnt cover this part...
  15. 2019 XLT Cam Phaser knocking, 22.5k miles.

Yea never heard of this issue on 2.3. And it's stopped since then? I think someone else pointed out oil filter. Don't think you need Motorcraft but if you run a crappy filter and don't run the truck regularly then the oil will all drain back into the sump and then you may have a start up...
  16. Alignment after Bilstein 5100 Kit

Looks like you got it resolved, but I heard one guy say install the shocks, then drive for 200 miles until it all settles in, and then align.
  17. 2.3L EcoBoost SP-594 Spark Plug Change Write-Up (60k Miles)

Thank you so much for posting this! I'm nearing 50K and was planning on doing this soon. One note I would add: As a possible preventative against the water in the spark plug well that some people have experienced (me). I put a good amount of dielectric grease are the top of the spark plug...
  18. KO3 Tire Sizes

If anyone is interested in when you can get 265/70/17 KO3....the answer is NOW I believe the KO3 is what's on the new Raptor Ranger
  19. 2.7L added to the 'Build and Price'

Dont forget the front serpentine belt tensioner freezing up and ripping the belt off and putting holes in your valve cover... But all jokes aside, the 2.3 does seem to be a solid engine. Very few complaints on here, and several over 100K miles with no issues.
