I've had my own nightmare over this tonneau cover over the same reasons. I love it when it works though, doesn't block much of the back window when folded up and provides a good bit of security when rolled down.
Pictures are of my second wind incedent, final fix and first version with the cover...
Wes,
I know it seems like a hassle but for the love of god do the oil change yourself. I made the mistake of letting the local dealership do my "Free" oil changes and now:
1. Top end of my engine covered in oil due to not seating the dip stick correctly
2. Still fighting them on what happened...
Glad you solved it, I've been through the ringer trying to figure out why I was having so much variation on my times on the track when the weather was not changing and I was basically hot lapping. Found out I forgot to tighten one of the clamps down on the air box causing random air leaks...
As promised a few pictures of the test and tune today. Will get some video worked up, and some info of my runs, after tomorrow. I don't know if there will be racing due to weather.
As soon as I saw this I thought that exact thing! Short wife means seat and mirror adjustment, I don't seem to have this issue with my manual vehicles...;)
Good News! After over two years the Ranger is finally whole again! It took six more phone calls to the insurance to produce the language they needed to complete the claim for the tonneau cover and wind/(rocks) damage. For some reason they would not process the claim unless I said I was being hit...
Good thoughts your way as you traverse this troubled time. As someone in the long term care field I suggest contacting your state's ombudsman as well as talking to your mothers doctors. They will have excellent suggestions as to which facilities have personnel that will help your mother the...
Two years fighting with the dealership and my insurance to replace the damaged Ford Branded X4. Finally just told the shop that was doing the repair work to order a X4S straight from BAK. After the install I have the same issue as the old cover, the driver side rail is cut too short on the...
Finally got my pickup back from the shop. Two years after getting sandblasted by 80+ mph winds and the tonnue cover dropping into the bed; I am happy to get back into the drivers seat! My only issue is the left rail on the cover still does not reach to the end of the bed so it allows the rail to...
Gonna have a go at this "irony" thing, I think mine still works, might have to dust off the board though...where's that damn Niagara!
There's always someone that will not know who you are or what you have done. This sometimes makes them think they are superior to you for some reason. In the end...
That is exactly what I will be doing, been frustrated with the stonewalling from my local dealership in regards to not allowing me to order the part and not warrantying my tonneau cover. Truck is going into the body paint shop to finally fix the front end wind damage that also destroyed the...
Sorry I'm late to the party, just got the Ford break controller installed by another Ford dealer, it was a process. Was unable to order the kit from my local dealer due to "It doesn't fit your vehicle." So I went straight to Ford Motor company and paid for the kit and an hours labor. Choose a...
Did you check your distance setting, maybe another driver set it closer then you were used to. I normally run with mine at max distance since my driving is mostly highway. Makes it easier to pass big rigs when you can see around them. :D
Actually funny story...I have a set of Gearwrench ratchet wrenches, figured that would work just dandy to tighten down the two lug nuts on the spare holder...The ratchet piece fell out before I could put it on the nut. Before bringing it back to the store to warrenty I tested the others to make...
Just put on the spare tire mount for the trailer and thought I would do a quick check to see if the tire tools on the ranger would fit the trailer. Unfortunately the mounting on the wheels and spare have the studs sticking so far out to ensure I have to carry another tool to change the tires if...
Of course the version I wanted took three years to make...hahah, the article makes me wonder what a turbo'ed V6 would be like in the current small chassis.
