It's just a TaoTronics adapter. This one I believe. It works okay in a few tests around the house but I haven't tried it in the truck yet.
And I'll try the USB part but I'm thinking I'm out of luck unless I replace the head unit. Ah well. Just seems weird that if I would've bought the cheaper...
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience in adding a aux audio port to an existing standard Ford radio. I have a possible need for one. I have a standalone MP3 player that has a lot of my music is some high quality standards that I would like to use. I have a standard audio jack to BT adapter...
I'm not positive about Waze (been a while since I used it in AA) but you can download sections of the map in the regular Android Map and use it offline. I recently drove from VA to Ohio and it prompted me to download my route. I don't think this is an option in the AA map. You may have to go to...
So I took Z on his first long trip, 6 hours out and then 6 hours back across 3 states in the mountains. He drove beautifully and I got a few head turns and my one friend did the usual and thought it was an F150 (No sir. You are incorrect!). I use Android Auto primarily for sound and this was no...
Yup. When I'm 'searching' for apps in SYNC 3 I find nothing but AA lets me run almost any audio software on my phone. That's really my reason for using it. I've used the SYNC 3 Nav and it's fine, no complaints. But I like the audio selection AA gives me especially since I have a lot stuff local...
So I'm wondering... has anyone taken out the tray in the dashboard? How hard is it to do? I'm thinking of a modification of putting a small piece of metal under it by simply gluing it. What I was going to do is to replace some of those sucker dash mounts with a magnet instead. I think they might...
Hehe.. I'll be making at least 2 trips back to the good old North Coast this spring. One is a couple weeks and then again in June. I'm actually looking forward to some long drive time with Z.
Well the fact it's happening to other Sync 3 vehicles is kind of nice. I'm getting the WiFi connection one. It's not super annoying as Android Auto just fires up over it but its good that the internet says Ford is looking into it and I'm not the only one.
I'm at 700 something miles total and on my 3rd tank (counting whatever I left the dealer with). Current trip is just shy of 20 MPG. Average for the truck is 18. I'll also +1 for cruise control doing better than me and the adaptive CC makes it even easier
I know there is someone else from the DC area on the board and the local dealerships can't seem to keep them on the lot but I have yet to see another Ranger on the road. Maybe I need to get out more....
I'm thinking of a hood deflector. This morning was the first morning with some snow and rain and I've noticed a lot of splash from the hood to the windshield at certain speeds. It's like it funnels it or something. A hood deflector usually helps.
Speaking of bed lighting, don't forget the most awesome switch. The one that lets you use the cyclops light at the top as an actual light for the bed. Awesome!!!!
Ditto. My commute has some stops and I decided to use it this week. I get a bit of a dim with the headlights when it starts sometimes but now I barely notice it. I may hit the switch or drive in Sport though just because like a lot of others I worry about wear and tear.
Now the F-150 I rented...
I picked up a Ranger off the lot last weekend. I wouldn't say buyers remorse, but it's not exactly what I wanted. My 2004 Ranger started to have transmission problems. It would've taken a week and $5K to replace the transmission on a 15 year old truck with 190k miles on it. I felt it was time to...

Hello.... My name is Todd and I'v only owned Rangers (mostly. We don't count the high school years)
I got my first Ranger back in the early 90's. I think it was an 88. I've always had Rangers since with the last one being a 2004. They were all bought used and I drove them till they...
