  1. Inner Rear Brake Pads Burning Up

So my mileage has honestly been down around 18-20 when it used to be able to hit 25 or so. I thought the same thing about ABS, thinking maybe the wheel sensors were bad but they dismissed it pretty quickly.. I will bring it up again. It is good to hear someone else think that as a possibility!
  2. Inner Rear Brake Pads Burning Up

So I do agree but the problem is that they replaced the caliper assemblies once at the beginning and that means new guide pins as well and it has happened twice since. Ive tried to get them to look into the master cylinder or the ratio on the front vs back braking and they are going to look at...
  3. Does Upstate, NY count?

Thank you for your service! I've been here my whole life minus one year where I lived in DC. Never plan on leaving again, that's for sure
  4. Does Upstate, NY count?

I took it down by the oval in Plattsburgh! Over by the train station
  5. Inner Rear Brake Pads Burning Up

Haha I can't blame you for being curious. I only use one foot though. I should also add that I almost never have to brake. My ride to work is about 52 miles on a state route at 55 mph with no traffic. I only brake when I get to the office pretty much

I am sorry to hear that.. I guess at least it gave you a chance to get some Zukes though... Best subs around!

  8. Inner Rear Brake Pads Burning Up

Well, two weeks ago I reached out to my dealer and told them I need a solution other than just slapping pads in every 5000 miles. They supposedly reached out to Ford and I have kept checking in and supposedly Ford has yet to give a response. Owned this truck for over a year and out of say 52...
  9. Does Upstate, NY count?

Woah, never thought I would hear Plattsburgh or Peru on here.... Cool to see! But yes, I think of Plattsburgh as a part of New England.
  10. Inner Rear Brake Pads Burning Up

Thank you for that info! I will have to find where I can reach out to ford customer service. I should mention the dealerships around me are seriously small town dealerships. I am going to try a slightly bigger one this time around. This is the kind of behavior I would expect to see with a link...
  11. Inner Rear Brake Pads Burning Up

I have an issue where only my inner rear brake pads are burning through entirely within 5000 miles. It was first noticed at 18k and now I am at 29k about to bring it back to ford for the third or fourth time. My garage just keeps putting on new pads hoping it goes away and I had them turn the...
  12. Droning noise when letting off gas at highway speeds

Haha you're telling me dude. So I am technically on my third set now. Stock ones were gone at 18k, replacements were gone at 25k. It is just the rear and the inner pads on the rotors. The Ford dealership has 0 clue as to what is going on and do not listen when I tell them they need to replace...
  13. Droning noise when letting off gas at highway speeds

I am noticing the same kind of noise now at 55 and above when I let off the gas. The second I go back on the gas it goes away. I recently had my tires rotated while it was in the Ford garage for its third set of brake pads in 26k miles and thought maybe there was uneven wear on them.. I also...
  14. Faint burning smell when parked in the garage

Mines just the stock exhaust but I have the go rhino exhaust tip on it to hide the ugly stock pipe. I figure it is either that thing or just the sand that got built up on the exhaust. I drive on very heavily sanded and salted roads daily during winter.
  15. Faint burning smell when parked in the garage

Hey Dmax, I too had a faint burning smell which concerned me because my calipers froze up at 19k miles and killed my brake pads. That's all been fixed BUT I still smell it. Yesterday after cleaning my truck I noticed my aftermarket exhaust tip had it's finish half melted off. I think my smell...
