Here is the back side of mine. Amazing moulding engineering.
  2. Ford Ranger with a Bronco face

Well before either the real Bronco or Gen 5 ranger came out I was reading was the styling was going to be the same. Then COVID. Still, I was hoping for a little more Bronco style and the hood tie downs, but, didn’t happen. I‘ll live with it. BTW. Read all about the Gen6 Ranger yesterday...
  3. Annoying, annoying, annoying, RATS!!

Did more research after posting and it is seriously not allowed. Has to be in a closed container, and not a heated area!! Thanks. 65 year old me hangs around high school students, who can't imagine graduating in 1976!!
  4. Annoying, annoying, annoying, RATS!!

How often? With the California heat and engine heat I have been skeptical on duration. I do force myself to check my oil once a month.
  5. Annoying, annoying, annoying, RATS!!

Hey, I posted this in the California section because I don't need or want a wrong (coast /environment) solution. Rats chewed on my new foam engine cover! I am not sure I would have seen it except I had painted it. I went the the web first, and was disappointed in 90% of the articles, 90%...
  6. A couple of newbie questions

When I first bought mine I thought the brakes were mushy too, and found my two other vehicles tight. Now I have gotten used to it and ignore it.
  7. Key battery

Wait a week and see if it goes away. It's software.
  8. HVAC 'clicking' normal or not?

My 2022 clicks very lightly occasionally. It is moving and working so I am not worried.
  9. Interior add ons

    Nice dash camera setup also!
  10. Dash fan/heater/ac panel needs lights

I seriously considered a USB light when I first received my 2022. Decided I would just practice by feel for a few months. Still, the worst design for a control system that I have ever seen. Some style fool over function.
  11. Magic button to get heat to work in auto setting?

My experience in my Lariat is that the Auto setting will engage the heat pump reverse mode of the AC very quickly to blow warm air. That said once everything is up to temp I am setting the desired temp warmer, 80 to stay warm, than would seem normal. I have also been forced to go off Auto...
  12. What's inside a DPFE Sensor (Pics Inside)

Even though there is no flow during operation there is air “migration” so it could be contaminated over time. My thought is that, is FORD aware that their supplier has delivered a known failure part, or has the vendor, or vendors supplier, omitted a process that would mitigate this failure. A...
  13. Reliability and Adaptive Cruise?

I am a cruise control advocate, use it all the time on busy California freeways. The adaptive works great and flawlessly. Car cuts in front, adaptive takes car of it, soft or hard. I have yet to drive a long two lane drive with it, much less tow a trailer. I have noticed that at the closest...
  14. Turbo upgrade

My stock 2022 can't keep the rubber on the asphalt when I floor it. , and it gets to 100 any time I want. Stay safe.
  15. Driver door armrest solutions? General comfort for tall leggy types?

Amazing description of different body types! I'm male, long torso, shorter legs, still 6'2. Here is my solution. Not pretty, functional! Amazon, Neoprene, self adhesive. I added some glue around the edges.
  16. A couple of things for Ford to consider ...

A tailgate seal that slightly inflates/defaults to seal / open. Take that Chevy! I love innovation and product wars!!!
  17. Hyundai and Kia are bringing back the 80's

You're right on one aspect I forget which car the 80s it was but the coral coat recall was the dealer had to give her buddy one of those to use to prevent theft. I always looked at it as I have something valuable in my car that I don't want stolen so come try.
  18. Inside tailgate panel

As you can see, I cut diagonal slots, so it nestled into the tailgate support cables. I wanted the wood wide, so nothing was resting on the metal tailgate when we doing work. I also need an upward force control so I designed in 3-D printed little blocks that slip into just a bit of the tailgate...
