I’m no electrician but it may be there are two things going on:
1) the 3rd grill light is not successfully connected in parallel. Parallel wiring should be like the top one in the diagram. It’s also possible your third light is bad. You could test that by just tapping the leads on a 12v battery...
My attempt at this failed spectacularly.
I got the lights all wired together and hooked up to the appropriate wire.
Hit the unlock on the remote. Marker lights came on, but nothing from the grill lights.
Closed the hood, locked the doors and hit the remote start. Two of the grill lights flashed...
Hey Sid,
Can you elaborate on where/how you tied the wiring for the Grill LEDs into the marker light wiring?
Pretty sure I can follow your diagrams for fabricating the brackets and attaching, but I live in fear of anything wiring related...
I'd guess, around two hours (hard to be exactly sure) because I had to stop a couple times (unrelated reasons).
Not sure about the consistency, but I'd assume it's fairly thick, as I had to "shake" it out of the bottle onto the applicator.
Goes on pretty easy once it's on the applicator though.
Took a crack at applying the Armor Shield IX today.
Not sure how good a job I did, as I only used 1 bottle, and expected it to take more. ( I didn’t do any of the inner part of the bed ).
It looks pretty slick though...
I'm kinda' on the fence about whether to clay bar first or not. I've done it with vehicles in the past, and i know I probably should for best results. (This will be my first experience with a Ceramic product).
I just got my order of Avalon King Armor Shield IX.
It’s a DIY ceramic coating. Seems fairly easy to use. Hardest part is getting the truck perfectly clean first.
Agree with RngerCat.
My Jeep (Chrysler product) was easy to program from the motor, without needing to perform the steps with the handheld transmitter first.
(Our daughter, who does not live with us, but visits often, carries our only handheld transmitter, as she has no in-vehicle homelink...
