Good morning fellow Ranger-heads!
I apologize for the long delay on getting you some real concrete feedback but I have been dealing with a few technical difficulties. I see we have some other members that have given a good overlook on the JB4, that’s great to see.
I will be getting my final JB4...
Damn, I wish aFe cared a little more. Seems like a very straightforward adjustment for them to make.
Good to hear you say you don’t have an indentation in ur hood liner.
So you are saying the newer aFe charge pipes have slightly adjusted to compensate the taller turbo smart BOV so its not hitting the hood liner?
And if that is correct I’m assuming they have corrected the clamps as well? I’m doing a lot of wishful thinking.....
I don’t know for a fact but it doesn’t really make sense that they would be different, but if they are, respect to FORD. My take on it is that Ford would never waste the money on tuning them differently without seeing a substantial profit margin. I don’t see that they are more expensive and when...
aFe emailed me this week saying they will ship by the 26th (“expected”) but who knows.
I have a feeling they did not make any fitment changes, just my luck and they are unresponsive to my emails.
I agree, wish another company made these pipes.....
Yeah I ordered mine Memorial Day and still haven’t heard a peep from AFE. No shipping updates or anything.
All I can hope is that they adjusted the design slightly to accommodate a better fit, especially with an aftermarket BOV.
But that is wishful thinking.
You can leave the trim part stock if you want. This is what I like.
the feel of the wheel is amazing. Finger grooves on the back of the top section, nice thick diameter, and the 2 & 3 o’clock have such nice contours in the leather . Makes driving more pleasurable.
Stupid, lol. I was the first one they ever made so I bought a new OEM wheel and when I returned mine I received the money back.
They have it on their site listed for $1,499
