I came VERY close to buying a Timberline, but couldn't get forged green and the green interior just doesn't work with other colors IMO.
Bought the Ranger Tremor instead.
Had it playing from USB while running errands yesterday. 2 out of 3 stops didn't resume.
Wondering if the mix of FLAC and MP3 files causes the slow startup. The 1 time it resumed was very quickly after starting the truck. I'll try a smaller 64GB drive with all MP3s and see if that's any better.
My '19 Ranger wouldn't fit in the garage, so it stayed outside. There was also a Mustang in the way. We moved a few months ago and the new garage is 24x28. My '21 Ranger is very comfortable inside.
I wish mine worked that good.
I do have an odd setup - 256GB flash drive, mostly FLAC with some 256KB MP3s. About 8,000 songs.
BUT it worked perfectly in a Grand Cherokee.
A couple of little things.
Installed a Mountains 2 Metal lower grill insert. Took all of 5 minutes. I did the Putco on my '19, which was WAY more involved. Supposed to not interfere with ACC. Have not driven it yet.
Installed the "missing" middle bed tie downs and added a box for recovery gear.
It will be great if it actually happens. There will be gouging for the first model year for sure and the price won't be low to start with.
I was really looking forward to the 392 Wrangler, until the price was announced. It scuttled that plan pretty fast.
Driver side has anchors. Passenger doesn't.
I had Huskys before and they weren't slippery. I haven't put my feet on these yet. UPS just brought them.
The Ford material is more "rubbery". The Husky material is more "plasticy". I like the feel of the Ford material better.
Forged green is very nice. If the dealer would have had an Explorer Timberline in forged green I'd be driving it instead of my Tremor.
All of the Timberlines have green interior and although carbonized gray looks REAL nice when you open the door it makes you say "HMMM".
My Tremor hood was pretty bad on the passenger side. I don't recall the '19 having any fit issues.
I followed this thread to adjust it - https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/hood-alignment.3503/
It's moved to the extent the bolts allow and could use a bit more. Thankfully my OCD is satisfied...
I use a USB with a combination of FLAC and MP3 in folders. It works good, except if you turn off the truck while listening to USB it doesn't restart some of the time. That's the only real issue with it. It's been suggested to turn the stereo off before turning the truck off, then let the truck...
