The big steps for me where:
Load ForScan
Load Drivers for the OBD thingie
At this point it "talked" to the truck, but I couldn't "do" anything. (the directions for the OBD thingie said to press the start button twice. I did that about fifteen times until I realized I was turning the ignition...
Kewl .. I have nothing set up on the IBM, no mail, nothing except ForScan, The Harley Website that sells the updated maps and the Dyno Jet Power Vision software that allows me to tune the Harley Trike.
Why would I put it in sports mode, just push the button. I disabled it because I don't want to push the button. I don't think the starter staring the truck 20 times a day is good for it, especially when my own testing (5 full tanks letting the start stop work and 5 full tanks with it disabled...
Would the licensing stuff change, because frankly, that was the hardest part foe me ... getting the old dell to accept the license. Of course, the hardest thing was getting the license file from the Mac to the dell ... ten I remembered I had some thumb drives.
I'd really like to try the...
I'm no expert, but, I'm thinking sliders ($611), welding ain't cheap, powder coating isn't either. I'd be curious what the total price is. Gotta be over $1.1k.
I have a friend that recommended I buy that computer to update my Harley trike gps maps. He knows the owner of the pawn shop and the owner let him take it home and test it before I bought it. My buddy brought it to me later that evening saying someone had upgraded the hard drive and memory and...
Just want to give a huge shoot out to all those that have posted info and links here ... with your help, this old non techie type guy has taught and older Vista computer (bought at a pawn shop that someone had upgraded to windows 10) an OBD device and myself to "Speak Ford" using the interpreter...
I gotta give props to the OP ... and a big thanks.
took a look at mine this morning ... I can't tell if it has been abraded, or if there is some kind of transition between leather and whatever is under the seat. Here's a pic.
I decided to put the padded belt thingies on both sides (Not sure...
Well ... the mystery is solved.
Apparently, about a week ago I turned the defroster on ... ... I think it is the only time I have taken the climate control system out of auto. We normally are in the 15-25% humidity range. The day I turned the defroster on it was rain really hard for...
I bought my 2020 Lariat w/27K miles at just the right time ... 01/06/21 ... when all the smoke cleared, paid $31,900 ... dealer calls about every two weeks wanting to buy it back ... LOL
This would be a great feature if it would "know" the fob was in there ... and not lock it when it was .... I'm sure it "knows that, cause of the double honk thing ...
Those are the ones I bought ... needed 6 to totally cover the pup's belt. Three going up to the pivot and three going down. The belt slides right through them, so it will probably stay on the spot. if not, safety pin it in the right spot.
Only when I want to drift ... LOL.
Seriously, I don't use mine. I have a bad habit of forgetting it's on (probably because I don't normally use it). I do use it on the trike ... One more piece of insurance if a kid is "playing with. the hand controls".
The sad part is the design allowing the belt to rub there.
When my "Jack Russell Terrorist" starting "chewing on the belt, I bought 8 of the padded seat belt things from Amazon ... only used 6 to cover the belt. I'm pretty sure where I'll put the other two :)
