  1. Fuel in oil

Not necessarily. Many of us are convinced that the fuel is getting into the crankcase via the high pressure fuel pump, which runs off the camshaft. This would have zero effect on how the vehicle is running, but would have a slight effect on the fuel economy, depending on how severe the leak is...
  2. Fuel in oil

https://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/31148/fuel-dilution-tests Here is one of many articles that also touches on the risk of an engine fire when fuel dilution exceeds 5%. Yet another reason for Ford to take this issue seriously. Mine was well above 5% after just 1800 miles. Most likely 10%...
  3. Fuel in oil

When I change my oil, I fill it to about the top of hash marks, which I feel is good for when the truck is cold. Now, only about 150 miles later, it is already well above the top hole, checked while cold, sitting for over 24 hours. That is completely insane. If you look at the catch can threads...
  4. Fuel in oil

I'd say they aren't likely to take it seriously unless they measure the change themselves. Mine had me come back after 500 miles, which I did, but they never actually measured where the dipstick was to begin with. So it was pretty useless and even though it was above the full mark after the 500...
  5. Fuel in oil

Amsoil has some third party service do oil analysis, and that's what I've been using, but as someone else suggested, Blackstone is very popular and good, and apparently a few bucks cheaper too. They'll mail you a kit that you fill out and mail back to them.
  6. Fuel in oil

For everyone experiencing the issue, I highly recommend getting an oil analysis done, it's only like $30, and helps create solid documentation of the issue. I'm waiting on the results from my second analysis, should have them any day now. Fuel has a very strong smell, so even a small amount can...
  7. Fuel in oil

I'm glad to hear that you guys are getting a better response from your dealers. Mine is no help. I've been too busy to really keep digging into the issue for now. I've been changing the oil ever 1500 miles though to hopefully prevent long term damage. I love this truck, it's just unfortunate...
  8. Fuel in oil

    2500 miles
  9. Fuel in oil

And for everyone viewing this thread, my engine has a date of April 25th, so very well could be a bad batch of parts that went through during that time period.
  10. Fuel in oil

Just found mine, 4-17-19, definitely possible there was a bad batch of high pressure fuel pumps or something. That's my guess anyway. I bet a lot more people have this issue but just haven't discovered it yet...
  11. Fuel in oil

Where were you able to get that vehicle information from? My door sticker just says the month and year. Looks like we are onto something!
  12. Fuel in oil

What's your date of manufacture? I want to see if we can find a common variable between us. Mine was April if I remember correctly. I'm deep in with Ford Corporate, still looking for a solution. Considering filing a complaint with the NTSB since with a lowered flashpoint comes the risk of fire...
  13. Fuel in oil

I took the truck in yesterday since I just about met their 500 mile request. The morons obviously never actually noted what the oil level was the last time they checked it, I asked if they did and they said "it was at the full mark" which it wasn't. Now it is slightly above the hot full mark...
  14. Fuel in oil

I took it into the dealer again a few weeks ago, this time they did another injector buzz test (don't see how that's gonna find a leaking injector, but whatever) and a relative compression test (I was glad they did that one). Nothing came back abnormal. They drove it about 15 miles to see if the...
  15. Mishimoto R&D: 2019+ Ranger Catch Can Kit

Sorry I'm so late to the party. I was wondering if you ever had any fuel dilution occur in the oil in conjunction with the issue that you had with your injectors? I'm having some pretty serious fuel dilution and the dealer can't seem to figure anything out... Thanks!
  16. Fuel in oil

 Ya I definitely agree, problem is that we are about 2 hours from the next nearest dealer, and even they are owned by the same people... I figure Ford Corporate might be my best bet if these guys don't get it figured out. I just hate that I got so unlucky, I absolutely love the truck...
  17. Fuel in oil

To summarize my previous response in analogy form: What you are saying is that if one day I decided to come home from work early and caught my wife cheating on me, I am now assuming that she just started cheating on me that day, and that the reason she started cheating on me is because I...
  18. Fuel in oil

The issue was there before the catch can. I only discovered the issue because of the catch can. Not only was the factory PCV line coated in gas when I removed it, but after installing the catch can, it quickly filled with gasoline in just a couple hundred miles because the crankcase was already...
  19. Fuel in oil

I bet it would happen quicker than that, I got an extra 1.5-2 quarts in the crankcase in just 1800 miles...
  20. Fuel in oil

The sad thing is that all I do is long trips... I drive my old beater 350,000 mile Toyota truck to work to keep those hard cold starts off the nice new truck...
