I got a used RCI mid rack to fit with my Bak Revolver X4TS and it works great.
1. fill troth with fairing compound and drill locating holes for t track.
2. drill 3/4 holes in bed rail caps with hole saw and install rivnuts in bed rails
3. bed aluminum spacers with thickened epoxy
4. bed the t...
I had the older 1up hitch rack. It’s a tray rack and it’s awesome. I needed to upgrade because I got an e-bike that weighs more than the old rack’s weight rating. I got the QuikrStuff rack which is the updated design of the 1up rack. QuikrStuff is the new company by the same designer of the 1up...
I don’t have any personal experience with either rack. I run the Quickr stuff tray rack and I love it. But my buddy runs the Velocirax on his minivan and loves it. He’s a coach for the mountain bike team at a local charter school and he loves how many bikes he can carry. He also loves that he...
I love it! I couldn't find a teardrop that fit my needs, so I was going to build one. Then I found the Explore and it was almost the exact dimensions I was going to build. It has a tip out tent bed which isn't for everyone. It also has no real insulation and can't be easily insulated due to the...
I tow an intech flyer explore which is between the size of a teardrop and a travel trailer. The living space is 10 feet long, 5.5 feet wide, and 5.5 feet tall with no plumbing of any kind and an outdoor kitchen. It weighs around 2500 lbs with a hitch weight of around 400 lbs fully loaded. It...
I have't done it yet but my plan is to buy an RCI 12" HD bed rack with their tonneau cover adapter which I will modify to fit on a track system. I have a BAK revolver X4TS. We'll see if it works out.
I agree with Grumpaw. I regularly tow my Intech Flyer Explore. It’s a big square box that weighs less than 3000lbs loaded and I installed a factory trailer brake in my 2020 XLT. My big square box of a camper is about 12ft long, 7ft high, and 7ft wide. Also, the tongue weight on the Flyer series...
I have one and used it on my wife’s car many times before I got my ranger. I installed the factory brake controller on my ranger but used the Kurt once on my ranger before I installed the factory brake controller. Works great but has to be hooked up to use. The only thing I don’t like about it...
Yes, they will all work, but most of them use your trailer wiring which will make your truck think a trailer is connected all the time. Not the end of the world but potentially annoying. The Putco is so expensive because it has plugs preinstalled so it connects to the taillights through the...
If you’re never going to tow a trailer that has brakes then obviously you don’t need a brake controller.
But I’m with grumpaw on this one. If you do get turned around in an accident you’ll really wish you spent the $200-300 to do it right. Get a ford (made by redarc but sold through ford) brake...
+1 for AMP power steps. I love mine! But they are NOT rock sliders. They are usable steps that move out of the way so they don’t get hung up on things.
I know they sell the t track rails separately for the revolver. I don’t see them on the website for the mx4. It might be worth contacting realtruck to see if they can get you the t track rails for the mx4 separately. That would be the simplest solution if they would sell you just the rails.
