And, if you didn't know already, there HAVE been amendments to the U.S. Constitution. So, it's not like this country has been unwilling to adapt. However, most of the amendments have been made in order to more specifically elaborate on the rights and freedoms the people of this country have so...
Luckily, your PayPal account has nothing to do with your right to be a human being. PayPal CERTAINLY doesn't know anything about that as we've seen recently. The Constitution of the United States never goes out of style no matter how many lefties wish it would. Basic human rights will never...
Whoa... communism alert.
No. Sorry. The lives are NEVER more important than the freedom. George, Thomas, and John would agree with me so much that they actually wrote it into a big document.
Look dude... I'm sorry you can't see well enough at night to not be bothered by people's headlights as you drive by them. Do I wish I would never had headlight shining at me at night while I'm driving, too? Sure. I can see a lot better without light being shined at you. But that's never...
A designer made it look the way it does which is 99% of the reason you bought one. Pretty sure you didn't care at all where the oil filter was when you bought it.
Never thought at all that the LED bulbs could actually be designed for the reflector housings, though, huh?
Didn't think so.
Know how I know my headlights weren't overpowering while driving on the road? Because I turned them on and stood way out in front of the truck. Yes, they were bright...
I have 20/20 vision, my friend. But that doesn't mean I should drive around with shittier headlights that don't show as much detail. I guess I'll leave that to you. Just don't do any driving anywhere in my neighborhood. Thanks.
I'm an Architect, my man. I work with light all the time. I actually took lighting courses in college. And bouncing light in a reflector means nothing. Position the LED bulb correctly in the housing and it reflects just like a halogen. Light is light, my man. The only thing that really...
By the way, with your logic, no one could EVER do anything to their vehicle with aftermarket parts since, technically, none of them are approved by the DOT.
Want that bigger turbo? Forget it. It's not approved by DOT.
Give me a break.
The amount of anxiety about this just tells me you don't know what you're talking about.
There surely are LEDs made for reflector housings, dude. Give me a break.
I don't have to worry about it anymore with my Lariat, but when I had my XLT, I would take the LEDs and be able to see better at...
No. It's not illegal. And if he's not going to get a ticket for it, then who cares?
And having brighter and whiter light coming from your headlights just helps him to stay OUT of accidents.
Neither did I. Running the wrong LEDs MIGHT do something. But I had $50/pair LEDs in my lows, highs and fogs and they didn't do anything to my radio, so, I'm gonna say someone is doing something wrong there if they think their LED bulbs are interfering.
I had LEDs in my XLT for 2 years and no one ever flashed me. They're fine. They are NOT illegal. Don't let some of the dopes on here scare you out of it. Whiter and brighter light for you just means you can drive safer.
Nope. It's fine. I had them in my XLT and they were great. New LEDs are much better than the stock halogens. Whiter and brighter light just means safer driving for you.
Here's the link to the ones I got. They look great. And are sequential, so even cooler.

So, I just now found this thread as I was attempting to put in my new smoked third brake light into my 2022 Lariat FX4 SuperCrew. I am sure you've already figured this out on your own, but I just wanted to add my two cents.
I can say definitively that you cannot install it from the outside...
