  1. Any Advise on Winter Tires

I've had Nokian's, Blizzak's, Michelin, Pirelli, Vredestein and all worked quite well in our New England winters. Just pulled the trigger on a set of Firestone Winterforce 2, in stock sizing for the 18 inch wheels They are an "LT/SUV" rated tire and considerably less money than the Blizzak...
  2. TUNERS, HORSEPOWER, TORQUE AND ON AND ON....

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm definitely doing a Livernois. LOL However, as @jrscobra described the goals, Roush is a great choice for them.
  3. TUNERS, HORSEPOWER, TORQUE AND ON AND ON....

You won't go wrong with Roush. That is probably the best of the "warranty-friendly" solutions and nobody can dispute their performance credentials.

It's a winner.. Good looking, dependable and a family connection. Very cool!
  5. Oil Life at 57% with only 667 miles since change

Time is as relevant a factor as mileage, especially if they're lightly used For instance, you may want to consider a 6-months, or X,000 miles kind of plan I don't know how the "oil life" sensor system works, but I guess it's pretty cool. It's probably telling you to beware of old oil and...
  6. Livernois Tuning released

While I was completing the paperwork for the Ranger, the Finance guy and I were chatting about cars and bikes. He had a Focus RS and was absolutely effervescent about the performance and service from Livernois! They're the real-deal. Looking forward to the upgrade.

  9. To those running the Roush CAI

Understood. I did live in Northern Nevada for 10 years and ran a K&N CAI on my FJ Cruiser. For heavy dust, they recommend either the precharger, or foam wrap. IMHO, serious dirt stuff should probably run an oiled foam filter. Many folks do not properly clean and service the filters, which can...

In 20+ years running K&N on bikes, trucks and cars, I've never experienced this. Not once. I'd be very interested in learning about your direct experience.

  16. Who has the 4X2 Rangers

Glad to see some love for the 4x2 I moved back to New England from Nevada 2 years ago and really didn't feel the need for 4x4. There's not any real off-roading to speak of (by comparison). If the snow gets that bad, then either stay home or let's turn the Traction Control off and go play...
