I remember the 3k mile changes. I have always followed the manufacturer's recommendations. Have never had an engine failure. 5k mile changes on my 1998 Escort, when indicated (varies between 7k and 10k miles) on my Taurus (now has 120k miles). Will change in the ranger when it tells me to.
Do you like the running boards? I was thinking of including them but decided to wait and go after market. I really do not miss them. Might get some Nerf bars later.
When I purchased my 2011 Taurus, the dealer had a silver and white one. I wanted the silver, but by the time I got there it was sold, so I have a white one. When I ordered my ranger, I ordered silver.
Cruse Control is one of two reasons I purchased the 101A package (the other is the unlock and lock from the key thing - especially the tail gate). I knew that the basic XL did NOT have those features.

When I plug-in my 7-pin tester it shows that it is getting voltage. So,I guess the Ranger sees the tester as a valid trailer and provides the voltage.
