I have the '20 XLT and had the same issue as you. It was the CDF Drum. Just got it in before extended warranty was done in another 3,000km. I also had a cracked transmission oil pan and they replaced the heatshield. Also had scoring/burning on some of the CDF rings and failed hydraulic...
Been following this harsh shifting saga for a couple years now. They finally came out with the fix for my '20 XLT. It is the CDF Drum full meal deal. Just got my trans essentially overhauled. Burnt cylinder rings, loss of hydraulic pressure on test, drum had movement. They also found a...
I have the shim kit TSB done and just did the splines with some Shell ROTELLA Special Duty grease with 3% moly and the truck drives smooth as butter now. The Ranger 2-piece driveshaft is an absolute piece of shit. The splines were near bone dry and my truck only has about 67,000km on it. I've...
Nice work. Will be curious to see which one you go with. I don't wanna have to drill new holes.or.anything so if I can use existing that would be great.
Long story short I need to park my truck so the front bumper touches a wall in my garage.
On a really cold day the plastic OEM bracket cracked so I want a metal one.
I was looking at the following one STO N SHO Front License Plate Bracket for 2019-2020 Ford Ranger https://a.co/d/h4Sti2d

Yes, I have this issue as well on cold start. It sounds like the engine is roaring or some sort of fan is blowing really hard as you accelerate until the vehicle warms up. I have found if you let the vehicle idle for a minute before you drive it the sound is not there or doesn't last as long.
Well to my shock and amazement the TSB was applied and it actually worked. I drove the truck all day long today and it was super silky smooth and really enjoyable to drive. I'm really loving this truck now. Bring on the damper!
That being said I can confirm that the TSB has at least fixed my...
Well I'm off to test drive my vehicle after getting the TSB done. The dealer says the shudder is gone so we will see wish me luck! I will post results.
If the shutter is still there I'm going to tell the dealer to shove the truck. Might cost me my deposit but I haven't signed shit yet...
Maybe we should try and figure out if there is a range of build dates which trucks are affected in. For those that have the shudder, what are your build dates?
Mine is May 21st, 2020
I called Ford Customer Care and I asked them what if the TSB didn't fix the issue what would happen and they told me the dealer would contact the Ford Technical Service Line and keep trying to fix the vehicle until it was fixed.
I wonder if having a full tank of gas or not affects how often the shudder is felt? I would think with a full tank of gas versus an empty tank of gas you're going to have a slightly lowered vehicle due to the additional weight. Could this affect the angle of the drive line with this additional...
