My pro truck 2.0 were adjusted at 2.5" from the factory. Although not required I have Icon UCA they made a big difference as well when paired with the struts Also notable they are adjustable once installed with the supplied spanner which others are not. Have 30k on mine and they were worth every...
The strength of the UCA is important. BUT another major consideration is the ball joint which is key to suspension performance and longevity. Hence why I choose Icon with the proven Uniball joint.
I would very critical of cheaper UCA ball joints and bushings.
Just food for thought....
No way I would put any of those on my truck! Rough Country has forged UCA starting at $299.00 . Pretty happy with my Icons that are stout and work exactly as advertise. Maybe you can start a new group buy from Stage 3 if Frank is still around. I saved allot that way.
Spacers wont cause any harm. I have used them before but glad I did not on my Ranger.
Upgrading your struts with Fox, Bilstien or Eibach will give the lift and a much better control and ride You desire.
Considering it is not a easy task to install the lift or coilovers, particularly on a...
Short answer is yes. It will articulate, align and IMHO ride better. You will also be able utilize more travel using extended struts such as the Eibach Pro 2.0 I run with my Icon UCA.
Do it once and do it right!
I was driving home along the foggy deer infested Potomac river on my way home last night and thanked my self for spending allot for the DD3 amber pros. I also am glad I paid to have them professionally installed and properly aimed.
Lol
Well, as you have a 2019 Lariat you also have an engine cover that covers the spark plugs?
And a under hood lamp, hood struts..... I would be careful opening your hood in front of other forumites. Could take hours to clean off the drool?
Congrats , great find! Definitely replace the shocks, the stock fx4 dampeners are garbage. I have Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 for 34k miles and very satisfied. Bilstin, Fox, Icon or probably any other shock will be a huge improvement.
Oh because you have a 2019 Lariat others here will covet the extra...
I bought my Ikon UCAs here through a group buy. At first I thought it was an impulse buy but after 2 years I can say they make a big difference in ride and articulation.
Do you need them with less than 3" lift. Not if it can be aligned to spec.
Not sure...but "Rugged Trek" = RT?
When i got them 2 years and 25k miles ago I think it was a new catagory but there are more options now. The Coopers RT perform like good MT but you do do not have rumble of true MT. Tires are the most important thing offroad, followed by lift by tires by...
+1 on UCA. I have Icons and they make a big difference.
Tires, perhaps take a look at Cooper Discovery RuggedTreks. They are are a hybrid AT/MT that are pretty quiet and handle well on pavement for an aggressive tire.
