The 870 is a great shotgun. I've got one 870, my grandfather's Stevens (Sears) double barrel 12 Gauge, and a near perfect 1950's Sears JC Higgins 12 gauge pump.
I must say that I prefer the pump action of the old Sears 12 gauge over both Mossberg and Remington 12 gauge. Surprising to say it...
I had a neighbor who worked at Chick-Fil-a for several years, applied for a franchise, was strenuously evaluated, and awarded a franchise in Wake Forest. I was told they only awarded franchises to employees, and screened and trained them carefully to insure quality.
Within 2 years he moved...
I think the simplest solution for an electric fan conversion is to determine if the electric fans and shroud from the 6G Rangers will fit the 5G. I just checked RockAuto and they have the 6G dual fan /shroud assembly for $249.
It that is the case, the next thing to figure out is the simplest...
They are certainly different, and maybe not just where you circled. The two re-enforced ridges on the top bung appear to be taller than on my 2020 as well. Take a look at the fault lines in the 3 images below. The top 2 appear to be like my 2020.
But this one looks different, Maybe I'm...
This is a picture of my 2020 tensioner mounting point (top) to yours (Bottom).
It looks like the bottom hole in my timing cover is machined elongated... just noticed that. It may be the shadow, but I don't think so.
I also measured the pulley diameter, and the Dayco was identical to the Ford...
You my man, have an excellent sense of humor! It's very funny ,
Except for those of us unfortunate enough to have purchased a 2020!! For the first time, I actually have found something that I wished they had deleted!
I think the solution lthom found will work out fine. :like:
I have been thinking about why Ford would choose to move the tensioner mounting point from the cylinder head to the timing cover. The head mount point seems to be far more robust, and simpler. It has been used for several years on the 4 cyl Ecoboost engines without issue.
There had to be a...
I looked and it appeared to be the same. But without having a newer model year cover in hand to compare to mine I can't be sure. The changes (if there are any) may be very subtle.
Have you checked your angles to insure you are within specs. Klein Tools 935DAG Digital Angle Gauge $33 works perfectly and you'll know within seconds. Both measurements should be within 5 degrees of each other. The closer the better.
I received and installed the Dayco (Made in Canada) tensioner. It did not have the flat spring tech in it unless it is all internal to the tensioner...
Went out to the workshop to install it and found an abrasion on my battery cover... Upon closer inspection it appears Mickey Mouse has taken...
I've got the DAYCO 89740 tensioner coming tomorrow, and my Ranger is a 2020. I'll report how it fits and take a few pics for comparison.
Does the Ford part use a Flat Spring? Dayco claims they invented it (instead of a coil spring). Says more consistent tension and less wear... who knows...
I've seen access ports added to pickup truck beds, and most looked exactly like the bed with a 2" overlay. Bolted down. I did not see it removed, but it would be trivial to add a gasket.
I need to clarify... I have a PPE Deep pan installed. It holds 1.75 qts more than the plastic Ford pan. Whatever you pull out needs to be put back in + any additional capacity that your new pan has.
I used two 1 gallon jugs to capture the old fluid, but I marked the jugs with a sharpie at...
