Not a bad idea. Semis use these all the time.

The truck icon in the Off Road screen (pitch/roll/steering angle) is a ROW Ranger. You can see the different front bumper and the mullet in the bed. Hey, you asked for obscure.
You’re more likely to need a replacement headliner from the hole your tinfoil hat is rubbing in it than to have an actual problem from anyone accessing your OBD port.
Downhill behavior is great. The transmission does a really good job of downshifting to keep you at a certain speed, but as a note it has to be in Tow/Haul mode for this to work. Otherwise it just coasts. There were some hills that I couldn't believe how little I was using the brakes. Part of...
Just got home last night from our trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We took a borrowed camper: my grandpa's Coleman 1705RB. I won't get into many camper details unless someone wants to, but basically it's a 22' single axle with an advertised dry weight of around 3500 lbs.
Let me...
Tie down not required but I put mine back on just in case I would ever want to tie to it.
If you want matching screws from the dealer, I don’t blame you, but just FYI any M8’s from the hardware store will work.
If you see any wires going to the hood latch, that’s your sensor. I don’t remember whether the Ranger has it there or not.
Tangential topic. Anyone with an XL care to report, do you have the hood sensor? I was putting a front clip on our 2014 Escape SE. My donor parts were off of an Escape S...
Use a box knife to score around the head of the screw, and then use a screwdriver or pick to dig the bedliner out of the screw.
You should probably use a tap to chase the bedliner out of your holes. You will need M6 and M8. The screws you are missing (where the tie down attaches) are M8; the...
The cable attaches to the swinging box part with a simple stud and loop setup. I was able to slip if off the stud without really being able to see it (I just tried and confirmed it). Hard to find a relevant pic but it’s something like this. Not to scale.
100% yes. I keep receiver hitches, tie down straps, and things like that in it. Stuff that’s usually too dirty to go under the seat, and I’m out of room there anyway. It’s slim enough to not be intrusive, and if I need the space, it lifts right off.
This is like asking us what your favorite color should be. How do you use your truck?
Basically just pick something out from here: https://accessories.ford.com/vehicles/ranger/2019.html
This is accurate. 1% of Ranger owners “need” FX4, and you already know it if you do. Everybody else just wants it. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with wanting it. Just stop telling yourself you need it.
