I live in the snow ice slush zone of Maine. I find a little extra weight over the rear tires goes a long way to stabilizing the direction of travel and improving braking distances in a nose heavy pickup. Physics don’t change because it’s 2019 and we have traction control.
I have 200 lbs of...
This. The whistle is the sound of compression. I’d never put a cone filter on a vehicle intended for off roading, though. Dust nightmare.
A snorkel can make the turbo whistle more evident by relocating the inlet to the area outside your passenger window.
255/75R17 32” diameter 7.5 inch wide tread, 40 lb weight, rides better than stock i think.
my photos from the rear do not have the right lighting to tell the story. I will find an opportunity to take some.
I installed the rokblokz xl flaps. I like the material and the method of attachment. No drilling involved. Uses factory holes and a supportive insert made of the same material as the flaps. They provide excellent coverage, though i think the shape of the rear flap could mimic the front more...

I sold the tires...
The recommended 30PSI seems to be the best pressure for both the stock 255/65R17 Duelers and now the 255/75R17 Duratracs i had installed.
The installer put 33psi in the Duratracs and i could feel the knobs and hear the tire more than after I reduced the pressure to 30 in the front and 29.5 in...
