  1. 2 quarts low

Once again. Everything just said has already been brought up. Just because I’m not sending you pictures of everything I do, does that mean it didn’t happen? I’m sorry I don’t involve you in my daily life. Did you not read the part about me having an appointment with a dealer for several months...
  2. 2 quarts low

about 93 posts ago I mentioned the oil filter brand name. if you haven’t read my last thread about the transmission, I have had an appointment scheduled at the dealership for several months. They keep pushing it back because their mechanics keep getting fired or quitting. everything you just...
  3. 2 quarts low

that damned Chevrolet I bought had some kind of feature on it that made the tailgate slowly come down. It wouldn’t open fast enough for me, I like to drop it because I’m usually in a hurry. But I figured out, if you use all your strength and slamming the tailgate down as hard as you can that the...
  4. 2 quarts low

I don’t even know what that stupid shit is
  5. 2 quarts low

See? There it sits, broke down. Next to my brand new truck that I replaced it with. After I fix it, I’m going to use it as a hunting truck, that’s about all its good for.
  6. 2 quarts low

I’m actually not a troll. Never even lived under a bridge. But my truck is a giant piece of shit and the dealership in my area doesn’t have a sober mechanic to work on it. So I’m having to do it all myself.
  7. 2 quarts low

not sure it was 2 quarts. Just made an assumption. I’ll check again soon. Yeah I’m sure I don’t have 2 gaskets. Man yaw must deal with idiots often. Some of these responses kill me.
  8. 2 quarts low

I’ve seen it before but never this much.
  9. 2 quarts low

I said I am not sure about it. I use a 15 gallon tub to catch oil as I work on a bunch of equipment. I’ll give it a check next time but I doub I am that far off, it has to be close. i also question these motorcraft filters. I bought a case of them and every time I change my oil there is a ton...
  10. 2 quarts low

I can’t be exactly sure that’s how much it is low but basing off the marks on the dipstick that’s about what I figured. Does anybody know what the marks on the dipstick represent? When I fill it up it’s at the highest mark. After 3-4k miles it’s between the bottom mark and the end of the...
  11. 2 quarts low

Changed my oil Sunday and noticed I was about 2 quarts low. About 90% of my driving is on dirt roads under 20mph, usually in 4wd. The other 10% is on 2 lane mountain roads with the occasional trip into town. I change oil every 3k-4k miles. If I wait any longer than that the truck gets louder and...
  12. Very dissapointing

I actually watched that a few weeks ago or one similar. It does look like a good bit of head scratching involved but even though I’m not very smart I have been known to get lucky every once in a while. yeah, I’ll probably make one more post about it and see if that will help. Nothing makes a...
  13. Very dissapointing

yeah it was a pain no doubt. Even trying to get the danged oil filter out puts me in a bad mood. One day someone will put an oil filter where a man can fit his hands in there to get it.
  14. Very dissapointing

This is the fir This is the first automatic I’ve had in 5 years. I don’t like it. For these exact reasons.
  15. Very dissapointing

very hard shaking when shifting. About a 5 second delay when shifting from park to any moving gear and good size metal shaving in the fluid.
  16. Very dissapointing

Pretty sure I’m having transmission failure. I could be wrong but I doubt it. I would like to tear it apart and fix it myself, could’ve had it done already but I’m going to let them do it under warranty I reckon. Couple more weeks left before the dealer will take a look at it. I’ve grown to...
  17. Oil Filters - not specifically a Ranger topic

why not? I can’t name anything that I have from China that breaks. I buy cheap Chinese made tools that work just as good as dewalt. My socks come from China, they are comfortable too. I haven’t tried any Chinese toilet paper, not even I’m that brave.
  18. Oil Filters - not specifically a Ranger topic

A lot of foreign products are better than American made. Don’t know about oil filters, but I know that I’ve never seen an oil filter actually make a difference in how long a vehicle last.
  19. ***Update Pg. 26*** Think It'll Buff Out?

How bout the mono leaf? Looks like it hung in there like hair on a biscuit. I’m at least happy to see that single leaf is pretty stout.
