I’ve been camping in the Ranger with the softopper and DAC tent all week and the setup is super quick and easy. I’ve been overall happy with it but tonight it’s very windy and this thing flaps like crazy. To be fair it’s shake the truck windy.
I thing it will be possible to make some...
This would be perfect. I am slightly jealous of the aftermarket support that the Toyota boys have. I think I’m going to end up having to modify something built for a Taco or go custom fab at this point. I did find a modular system that should work but it is all square tube and right angles and I...
I’m still looking for one that will fit over a Softopper. Something like what All-Pro makes for Tacos. I’ve thought about buying their kid and modding it to fit the Ranger but I don’t have the time of space to do it.
So I’ve had my Softopper for about a week with a two day camping trip thrown in and I really like it so far. I did buy some 2 inch wide industrial Velcro for the bulkhead convection and I’m contemplating using it on the tailgate too. The only complaint I have is the gaps at the front corners...
Not a 100% solution but it is close. The seat latched fine and it doesn’t appear to rub anything. I still have some more things to check and make sure everything will clear as it should but if the AR fits the little Marlin ought to be fine.
I know but I think if I moved the jack to a seperate location like a tool box there would be plenty of room. Maybe a coupe of Quick Fist type mounts to hold it in in place? I have a couple of other projects in line ahead this one but its coming up quickly. My Softtoper should be here tomorow...
So I haven’t had a chance to do any measurements but I’m wondering if there maybe room to mount a small 22. Something along the lines of a Henry AR-7 or a 10-22 takedown.
A trigger lock should make it legal and I just like the idea of having it back there just in case.
I wish I had seen your fuse panel idea earlier.
I just used a little sheet steel from TSC and made a 4x4 square and rounded of 2 corners. Then I drilled it for the controller + 2 additional mount holes that I ended up not using. I drilled the little bracket behind the fuse block to match and...
So I decided to make a plate out of some 18 gauge steel and I’ll post some pictures soon as I’m done but I’m working in between rain storms.
Side note if I ever meet the engineer or Ford bean counter that decided to make those brake controller wires so short things are going to get ugly. Would...
Has anyone fabricated a more rigid mount for the Redarc brake controller. I’m not a huge fan of leaving it hanging off of a existing hole by one or two plastic tabs. I’m probably way over thinking things but I’m thinking a aluminum plate just give it some rigidity. I’ll post some pictures of...
