Just bought a new Hyundai Santa Cruz to replace my Kona as a commuter vehicle. I got a pretty good deal on a night edition. Only thing that really bugs me is the feckless stereo system....I've had clock radios with better sound. Put it this way, our stock systems in the Ranger are like a Bose...
Sid, too many folks want a piece of that my man....I think it would be more like a quarter.....lol.
You never know....maybe they will do a recall and you can get your money back.....
Not holding my breath....
Honestly, I don't think your Livernois tune will take advantage of any extra air flow......
Even though you tell them your mods, I don't think the programming changes for anyone buying their OTS tunes.....IMHO
Funny....the 2 things I miss from the Kona are the Premium Audio (It had a 315 watt, Infinity system that sounded perfect) and the Heads Up Display on the dash (Made it easy to check speed and see your proximity warnings better).
I do love the ride on the Santa Cruz.....dtech mentioned...
You are correct Chris....Hyundai and Kia are first owner warranties.....but I'm ok with that for my situation....I'm sure I'll take this one to at least 100K. I would have kept the Kona and not bought anything new if the tranny hadn't gone out.
You know what starting over on a new vehicle for...
Sticker on the Night edition I bought was $38.2K....I got them down to $37.2K. They gave me an extra $1K for my Kona in the end than they originally offered.
Overall I was pretty good with the deal.....
Well I replaced my commuter car, the Hyundai Kona Ultimate, this week after a new tranny was installed under warranty. She had 92K and Hyundai honored their warranty with no blink. I decided to trade her in and start over since I drive about 110 miles a day to work and back.
I tried to find a...
I think any of us could get those kind of numbers if we don't get into the boost on these turbo motors....I have a wireless gauge setup and can monitor engine parameters pretty closely. If you keep your foot from making a lot of boost with the turbo you can get great MPH numbers. I am a speed...
You said it was a new truck.....If you install a CAI that's no problem. But if you change the Hot/Cold charge pipes to the intercooler I think that might mess with your warranty. I installed a cat-back exhaust and an aftermarket BOV for the turbo but that's it until my extended warranty is up at...
Dave takes his moderator duties pretty seriously....and I would say they can be exhausting. The stuff that goes on in here gets pretty middle school and I'm sure very tiring to deal with at times.
My tranny has been and still is a beast! I'm going to say that I have torture tested our 10R80.....if you only knew...verdict.....she still runs smooth as silk, especially since I flashed to my HP soft-shift tune.
Well folks.....I have eclipsed the 100K mark in my Ranger with all systems GREAT to go!!!
Sadly, with my commuter car down at the moment I'm forced to put some miles on the Ranger I didn't want. I will say she runs SO awesome down the highway!! I have to work to keep my foot out of that...
There did not seem to be an indented RANGER on the tailgate.....just sticker letters on a flat surface, and it was definitely a 5g. I would love to get another look at that....it was months ago. Had Chihuahua Mexico plates.
I'm just messing with you man....I would love to throw caution to the wind with my Ranger but the wife would have my arse....lol.
Honestly, I just went over 100K and mine still runs like an animal....I have been worried about the tranny with all the talk in here and being high mileage on mine...
