I believe the 2.3L Ecoboost is well tested being it has been out for quite some time. They hold up very well from what I've read.

I'm going to drive one this week. The FX-4 seems capable enough for the type of off-roading i'd be using it for. Nothing crazy just trails that are moderate at best. I could always built upon it if need be. Having a rear locker is a huge plus.

I totally agree. Some of the "reviewers" whether it be in a magazine or Youtube can be quite ridiculous. Especially when talking about interior, which is subjective.
