And have a look at what an aftermarket intake and intercooler does to the peak HP and torque, the entire curve is flatter giving it a huge power band. 90 extra horsepower off a couple bolt-on parts and a computer flash, on a 4-cylinder, that is nuts...
I suppose it’s too much to ask for Ford Performance to release a similar Warranty preserving performance kit and tune for the 2.3L engines on our Rangers.

My buddy has one on his F-150 here in CO Springs. He loves it and how streamline it looks. It obviously doesn’t roll up well with a bunch of snow piled on, but it stays rigid under 14” of snow. And doesn’t stretch out and look like a row of snow tacos after a heavy snow like some of the soft...
Happy to see this will be offered for the 2019 Rangers right away. I’ve seen these in person, and they are definitely my favorite cover for its looks, ease of use, and function. When rolled up, it stays clear of your cargo (including the front wheels of dirt bikes) and it doesn’t obstruct the...
On one of the written reviews I read somewhere, supposedly the optional B&O premium sound system is outstanding. Far better than the previous Sony systems.
I’m curious how much the tailgate can handle. I had to reinforce the tailgate on my 2002 Ranger with a custom shaped piece of Diamond plate (bent 4 times to go over the hump spanning the bottom of the tailgate). This allowed the weight of my my motorcycle’s rear wheel to rest on the tailgate.
I think that Yakima LongArm bed extender is going to be a total winner for me.
Very versatile for hauling long items (canoes, lumber, etc) and it’s easy to store.
I would say the old generation was unnecessarily short. I like the taller bedsides and tailgate, it holds more cargo. And the taller tailgate effectively makes the bed longer when it’s lowered, making it better for hauling long cargo pieces (like drywall sheets).
I have to admit it’s been a while since I’ve thrown a lift under a vehicle, followed by larger tires. What is currently the most popular method for correcting the speedometer for the new tire radius?
I went the same route for the same reason. Really wanted the 12volt outlet for coolers and other accessories but we couldn’t confirm find an option to add the 12volt with the spray liner. But eventually I think I’ll pull out the drop-in and install a bed rug.
I hope Ford provides this accessory for the Ranger. It would be the first thing I install. A tailgate assist is nice when you’re using your bed a trunk and you only have one hand free...
A power slider would come at a cost, either stretch the whole pickup or lose precious leg room in the back seat row. Same goes for headroom if you add a sun/moonroof, as someone has already mentioned. I’d rather have the extra legroom and headroom but I can see how this isn’t a big concession...
I’m a tad over 6’ 3” and 200lbs. I’m not concerned about the headroom, because even with a normal torso/leg ratio I’m not sitting as high as someone who is 6’3” and 250lbs (because around 10lbs of that extra weight is in their butt). As for leg room, I’ll let you know when I get mine at the end...
Maybe someone who works in tire sales can chime in, but here are my thoughts. For a truck tire the 18” tire seems to be more readily available than the 17” here in the U.S.
Granted that the Ranger has a full size spare, but you might be riding on that spare for a while as you wait for your...
My money is on the typo error which means you’ll be limited to about 6,500lbs instead driving through Denver (without trailer brakes). High altitude means thinner air and much hotter brakes (hence the limitation), you just need to have trailer brakes if you’re towing something heavy up here at...
The Tacoma’s frame flex is at least twice that of the Ranger. Ranger appears to have about 3/4 inch of total flex (assuming that piece of tape is 1-1/2 inches wide) and the Tacoma’s flex is at least the full 1-1/2 inch width of the tape.
