While I really dislike this feature in many ways. I also dislike when things that should function, donāt function.
Truck has been parked for a while. Drove it 200 miles the other day, and then 60 miles the next day. Auto start didnāt do anything both drives.
on the dash, it says āEngine On...
Grammar and formatting are two totally different things.
and in this context, formatting is a way of modifying how the post looks - like a quote for example.
Iām just worried as to why it rises to the top hole when it sits for a day or so. After running it for five minutes, sit for 30, itās where it should be.
But I put 6 filled quarts and 0.2 quarts in it. So Iām not sure.
Thanks. Iāll just chalk up the excess from sitting came from everything draining back to the pan. The picture looks exactly like the factory fill when I first got it.
Sorry for the anxiety. Iām medicated for it lol.
I mightāve confused some people so excuse my subpar replies. Iāve been absent minded all weekend.
basically, I filled the truck with 6.2 quarts as required, but I am wondering if the oil level in this attached picture is normal. 50 something miles on it with this oil.
Also, my MAIN concern was...
this is where the line stops after sitting for 15 minutes with a 5 minute run. So itās not at the top hole. After sitting for 2 weeks it was at the top hole, but after starting and running itās just barely over the hash mark.
Think sheās good?
I updated my post. Iām an idiot. I put 5 quart and 1 quart in it. And I also put 0.2 quarts out of the bottle picture I posted. So if thatās the case my oil level is fine per the pictures?
Update! Guys Iām an idiot. Going to edit the post.
I bought 7 quarts. Added 6 total, and the picture attached is the bottle I added the least of. For the .2quarts. Thatās why itās marked.
Iām just asking if Iāve overfilled it. Sorry!
I have. Iāve put 50 miles on the truck since the last change. Thatās been 2 weeks ago. Been parked since. Iāve followed that thread religiously. I changed my oil at 1,200 at the dealer, then at 2,800 on my own.
so Iāve overfilled it. Correct?
Iāll try that. I was just more concerned with it being over the top hole after sitting for a few weeks - Iāll assume thatās normal, correct? Thanks!
Thanks. I had the wife look through it with me. We couldnāt find it, but Iām glad you included the page. Probably just glanced over it. No big deal, and I appreciate you.
Changed oil in my own rigs all of my life, but I am unable to find where the level is supposed to be on the dipstick.
This is my first oil change on my 2019.
EDIT:
Bought 5 quart Mobil 1 Full Synthetic and 1 quart along with it sorry! I bought one 5 quart and 2 1 quarts. Added 6 quart and...
