Quick update. Today I finally got around to trying to get the paint off. Looks like it is indeed roadside line paint and I really wish I hadn't waited so long. I started off with the isopropyl alcohol, but that didn't work at all.
Then I watched a few videos online and saw that The Chemical...
That Mach 1 looks great. My first car was (I still own it) a 1971 coupe that I bought in 1996. After several failed half attempts over the years, I'm finally starting the process of offically getting it restored the right way. It'll be slow going, but I can't wait to get back in the driver seat.
Woke up this morning to find what looks like white paint splattered all along my driver side of my truck and rear wheel well. Yesterday I drove 400 miles round-trip to purchase a pop-up camper I'm looking to restore and must have run over some wet paint, but didn't notice because I got home...
Thank you. Agreed they look great!
I'm pretty sure these are the same ones I ordered. They one that I was able to get on looked great. But I had an issue with the center caps as I mentioned.
Agreed. Especially since the moment it came out I saw them everywhere here in North Dallas. I rarely see a Ranger, though I am seeing them a little more often.
That's exactly why more people don't do it. $350 + hours of time + pain in the ass = I'll take my chances. It's intimidating and a lot of money wasted if you do it wrong.
I'd gladly pay an extra couple hundred dollars if it came installed from the factory that way, however.
