In no way am I meaning this in a negative way, but sure seems like a lot of work for the end result. My 19 happens to be illuminated but I never really think about it. I either count the clicks or look at the cluster. 100% props to you for taking the initiative to figure it out. For your next...
Lol....brings back memories of my military days. Ended up stationed in Phoenix with 3 cars w/o air conditioning. It was pretty brutal but I was SOOOO happy to leave Idaho it was worth it to me. We did end up tinting all 3 cars. Tint actually makes a big difference.
As much as I'm not a fan of Dodge/Mercedes/Fiat/Stellantis (or whoever owns them this week) , I have to give them props for good marketing on the "hemi" thing. Hell, even the 1981 Ford Escort was technically a hemi....lol
We have been married for 40+ years. Have argued over the temp the entire time. The compromise temp we have finally come to during the winter is 62 degrees. I would not run it at all and she would be 75+. She wears sweaters and I'm in shorts and t-shirts.
Maybe I'm showing my age, but I'm old enough to remember the BS Firestone tried to pull with Ford and the Explorer. I will NEVER, EVER give Firestone any of my business!
When I ordered my Ranger, I specifically wanted the factory spray-in just so I could get the Ford logo. Thought it was pretty cool. I think Chevy does the same thing on the Colorado but they say the "bowtie" leaks oil and softens the bedliner material....lol
Our next new vehicle will most likely be the Mustang Mach E GT. After that purchase, the F150 Lightning would be awesome if they move that technology into a Ranger sized truck. The Lightning looks like another home-run for Ford but I doubt that I'll ever need/want a full sized truck. A little...
VERY COOL! My parents had a '49 that was black and had the big whitewalls too. It had a built flathead and 3 on the tree. It was my mom's daily driver. People would rev at her and away she would go. I still remember a nice "bark" from the tires as she banged through the gears with a big grin...
World series........is that the baseball one? Then again I'm 61 years old and have never seen a superbowl either...lol. Just never got interested in any sports. Now ask me about the difference between a 67 and 68 Mustang and I could talk for hours, lol.
Those crazy nuts....the next thing you know, they'll want to remove lead paint from children's toys, get rid of liquid mercury and require seatbelt usage..... Sarcastically said. Not all change is bad. I remember when people whined about carburetors going away and moving to fuel-injection. Look...
We ended up right at 5". I was proactive and had cleaned the rain-gutters the day before. During the storm it almost looked like a firehose coming out the spout. Hope it makes it's way to the reservoirs.
Quite a mess up here in Northern California. We have had almost 4" of rain since midnight here at my house. Even worse up in the foothills. First world problems for me......I had to drain my pool to keep it from overflowing. I'm very fortunate. Other areas have had mudslides (from all the fires)...
I guess I'm different. I like the look of the silver and think it dresses things up. Otherwise it's a whole lot of stuff going on but kinda drab in black. Then again, I'm the same guy who painted the keyholes black because I didn't like the chrome. That's what's cool about our trucks.....we can...
