Depending on the year and motor there is a stubby underneath the air cooler or you just open up a port on the side and pour in fluid till it leaks on the floor... I have to just disassemble the air cleaner to get my hand on the stubby

You might want to desulfate your battery...might be able to get it in better shape. Desulfate/ recovery mode a few times with the BMS disconnected. Others have brought the battery back from the dead or you can buy a fresh battery... Your call if you want to deal with it or not

He just pulled the latch ...maybe with a pry bar... A little more force?

Maybe, you can also try to desulfate and recover battery... I hit that point originally then tried some of the battery recovery techniques in here.
