I've got a rough country 2.5 coilovers with 275/65/r18 and they fit great. The 275/70 might work ok but I was worried about the tires being too close and mud, snow, ect building up. I wasn't going to remove the crash bars, to me that's an important safety item and I'm going to keep them.
I agree on the cheaping out of these trucks. I put eibach rear shocks on today and my passenger side shock was already leaking with 3600 miles on it. I could push the stock shocks together with my hands, no way with the eibach's. Plus no engine cover, passenger side visor mirror, 2 missing bed...
