  1. Right side of Tailgate hinge pop out easily whenever I open the tailgate

I had the same issue at about 5,000 miles. My truck is a runabout for my business so I'm not the only that drives it. Some of the others would the tailgate slam open and it actually bent the metal round piece on the bed. Dealer repaired under warranty, including new plastic guard on top of the...
  2. Battery and Charging

I'm confused, why would the system voltage go up under coast down or braking? I have a 2022 Lariat, it's not a hybrid and I ordered it with start/stop deleted (I ordered it in California if that matters). The Ford performance handheld was also ordered and the dealer installed the tune prior to...
  3. Ford Performance vs. Roush tunes/exhaust

About $150 labor. I did leave it because they were busy that day.
  4. Ford Performance vs. Roush tunes/exhaust

No idea about the Roush tune, but I have the Ford Performance Tune on my 2023 Ranger Lariat. I love the tune, really wakes up the truck, I don't have to drive in Sport mode all of the time. I also love the fact that since I just let a Ford dealer install the tune my factory drive train warranty...
  5. Mileage When Ordered Truck Arrived

I configured and ordered my truck from a dealer in Southern California. When I picked it up it had 4.7 miles on it.
  6. what's this part?

Sorry to steer this thread back to the OP, but, the fact that puckdodger said the right hand side said the RH side of his tailgate popped off and dropped to the bumper rings a bell. I had the exact same thing happen to my 2022 and there was a piece of plastic that looked just like what...
  7. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

If you're under warranty I would not exceed the OLM. Come to think of it, I wouldn't exceed the OLM miles at any time. Can't to speak oil appearing to get "better," I've never seen that in my histories.
  8. 20,000 Mile Report

Thank you for a great post. You are 100% correct about expectations, if you're like me and your first truck was 1970 Ford and you've owned 20 more since then, than you really appreciate how utterly amazing this truck is! My favorite quote of yours, "Rake/Tailgate Height - It’s a truck, I tow...
  9. Is a 10,000 mile oil change interval ideal for the 2.3L?

There is only one way to know for sure what is happening with your engine oil, test the oil with every change. I have used Blackstone Laboratories and pay a few bucks extra for TBN analysis in addition to basic analysis. I owned an NHRA drag race team for many years and was also the crew chief...
  10. Tailgate Damper……cons?

I installed the tailgate damper on my 2022 Ranger this weekend. I actually had damage from an accidental slam (or slams) opening. I'm not sure when it occurred or where (the truck was leased for my business), but the right pivot point was severely damaged. Ford warranty and dealer were great...
