I got the AVS Bugflector. It sits off the hood so you're able to clean behind it. I like the super low profile ones, but was nervous of the chemistry happening behind it after half a decade of PA weather without being cleaned. Also chose it because there was no drilling involved. Reuses the...
Let us know how it goes with the ESP. That time of year where we turn the heat on and for many of us, it never turns off lol. Does seem like there are several more people getting it recently.
Thanks. I've got an oil change in two days so I'm going to chat with my dealer about my options. I read somewhere that essentially they could perform the multipoint check that they would do to "certify" a vehicle as a CPO and offer me the EPS coverage. If that's not correct, I'll ask them about...
Just to confirm, you got the Ford CSP AFTER your 3/36 ran out? What are your CSP terms (years/miles)? Anything not covered that's been a sore point for these Rangers (trans/HVAC blend door, etc)? How does the price compare to the regular extended warranty?
OP, one thing you could try if you haven't already is to reapply the update. Reformat your USB stick so it wipes everything and then copy over the update fresh. Then stick it back in and let it do its thing as if you didn't already update.
I've seen other posts where the update didn't fully...
My dealer was never a dick about it, but it did sound like they hadn't seen this issue before. Luckily I got a failed attempt on video and showed it to them. That's when they took it in to attempt a replication of the issue. One way to get it on video would be to defrost until it shuts off, then...
Sure do! After the APIM was replaced back in February, I've had no issues. Though my issues seemed to be more prevalent in the winter than the summer with the heat of the defroster contributing to the issue. I just had a road trip for the holiday last weekend with the defroster on and had no...
I haven't been here much lately, but reading this gives me some PTSD. I had a misfire on #1 and the mechanic said the plug well was filled with water. That was back in 2020. No issues since...
EDIT: Link to my previous post in 2020 about the misfire and nobody had any idea what was causing it...
The front suspension knuckle went from aluminum to cast iron sometime in 2020. My 2019 is aluminum. Brother's 2020 is cast iron. I'm not the one to say whether it's a positive, negative, or a wash - but it was a mid-year change aimed at cost savings so I think it belongs.
This might be what's...
There's one of these at my local dealer that's the reverse, yellow on black. It's not for me. I don't like stickers on my $45,000 vehicle. To me it makes the truck look immature. But I try to remind myself to keep from telling others what they should and shouldn't do to theirs. As long as it...
It depends on the cover. If you have a tonneau that doesn't sit on top of the bedrails, the below kit will work. If you have one that sits on top of the bedrails, this may or may not work depending on cover. The rails are the most important piece and the only items I've found like it. The feet...
Update:
The dealer traced the issue to a faulty APIM module which I understand to be the module that runs SYNC. As has been theorized and confirmed in previous posts, the issue was the APIM overheating. They put a call into Ford and two days later they heard back that they would replace the...
