Looks great man!! very well done
Painting the emblem makes a huge difference. With certain colored rangers; the original blue/chrome emblem looks tacky and dated.
Does look great broski!
I have been using Griots garage ceramic wax coat(looks Neon Green). Its performing well. Doubt that it holds up like the graphite stuff but its spray on wipe off, super easy. I try and use it once a month after a wash.
Agreed, 100% its absurdity hitting $3.30/gallon for cheap ass 87 here in central fl.....which i know is not so bad in comparison to other states so i cant complain too much. But its still harsh when we were paying a $1.50/gallon less last year and year before.....We all knew it was going to sky...
Yeah im looking into my warranty, seeing they FORD will let me keep my extended warranty if i go with FP, if not, I am most definitely...eventually....going with Unleashed or Livernois.
I am sure its a blast cruising around with that extra torque
I think I did come across that thread of yours! Very informative! I admire your tenacity in trying to solve the issue and helping others along the way. Any bit of information or knowledge obtained as an individual can benefit the rest of the people around you (in this case, the thread)
I have...
Yeah man they are great little trucks. You will love it just like your old ranger. The gas was stellar for a mdisize truck. After i did some upgrades, lift and 33" tires, my gas....well.....has caused suffering haha but totally worth it. If i ever pull the trigger on the tune, it will help the...
I was really hoping i was wrong about that haha! But thank you for that verification. With all the technology now adays I just assumed Ford (and any other motor company for that matter) would implement that into their diagnostics, or just a way to keep track of that. Easy for them to program it...
That is awesome man! If i were in your shoes, i would 100% get a tune then. I wish i could drive that little haha gas prices killing my ass. I end up driving alot for work and various commutes, I think on average im like 350-450/week at least, som, etimes close to 600, FML haha
get those gains...
I was thinking about this as well.
I am sure a lot of us thought about removing the tune and back to stock before going to the dealer to keep warranty, or at least mitigate blaming the tune.
But i was thinking they could probably see that it has been altered and at what time etc. possibly when...
Yeah that is what im afraid of happening. Even if they did not void the extended warranty, after 36/36k miles and in the event of a failure, they will more than likely say it was the tune, leaving you alone, cold, broken hearted, Rangerless and poorer  and a voided warranty haha
I can...
Hey donnie, hope all is well and welcome
Honestly the difference would be negligible, you wouldnt even need to worry about the speedo (as Frank stated from Stage3) - Love that company by the way!
Now if you went to a tire size of 285/75/16 from a 255/65/17 then you would be around 8-9%% off...
P.S.
I really appreciate everyone's $0.02,. It helps a lot getting various opinions and educated guesses and/or information etc.
this has been one of the best forums that i have been a part of - glad i decided to join! :muscle:
I am hoping to get the FP tune to keep my warranty. Then im also seeing the roush tune gives the same 36k warranty but not sure if it voids factory warranty.
I have seen many debates on if you have an extended warranty, and you go with the FP tune, it wont void your extended warranty, and then...
Oh okay understood! I will end up checking with with FORD company directly and not a dealership. I will update you guys once i get a response. I am sure I am one of very many individuals that would like to know about this
Lucky! i wish i didnt have to drive as much as i have to haha ill be hitting the mileage before the years unfortunate as it is....but the bright side.....i get to drive it more haha
