Went in at 17, served 20 years, best thing I ever did. Worked on tanks as a kid, jumped out of airplanes, repelled/fast roped out of helicopters, worked with the SF fellas, love it all now, at the time, not so much necessarily. I am a young 59 and can still rock and roll, but I have a feeling...
Yeah, but nothing like old school. I still had my sleeping bag from the 80s that was the best ever made, all of this time. A few weeks ago when it was in the single digits, I gave it to a homeless guy. It was a bitter sweet moment.
Ditto on the blue paint..I have 2 small chips on my hood, one on my tailgate (hell if I know) and one underneath driver's door. On top of it, I'm OCD. I mean, they must have put like one coat prior to the clearcoat. Cheap sons of bitches.
Thanks for the info...this isn't a simple issue and I read so many things, it's hard to discern what is important and what isn't. I do know, this Fordtechmakuloco guy knows his stuff. I think I will run higher octane just to help out and use the Chevron Techron every month. I already change...
I drive like a lunatic and as I said, most of mine is in the city My MPG is at around 17.2. That's a pretty good app there and yeah, I read the thread.
OK...awesome for you. I get that, it won't do any good to worry about it anyway, I mean, I'm not even stressing. Personally, I have had bad experiences with Ecoboost (in my F-150) and if I can do something to slow down this alleged issue, I will.
The below video is great at explaining the long term issues of carbon buildup on our engines. I know there are other videos with Fordtechmakuloco talking about this same subject matter, but I haven't saw this one and basically, you can't argue with this as the evidence is right in front of you...
Good to hear. Direct injection is direct injection, so not sure how we get past that but I'm good with it. I Guess as more get high mileage on their trucks, we will find out.

Use this once daily with a DeeZee and you're good to go, at -60 degrees and above. I've had mine for 2 years, still working like a charm. Don't use near a propane tank though, I only have 4 wheels where my camper used to be.
WARNING: Once you go damper, you never go back.
Yeah I got that covered for sure. I actually have the the Turtle wax ice sealant and shine, used it once and was pleased. I’m partial to meguiars liquid wax myself. Thanks for the info.
I just had to top mine off. It’s normal for the coolant tank to have droplets inside from the pressure and heat (condensation). With the cold weather, even more so and I figured that’s my issue. However, I’ll definitely keep an eye on it and look for other indicators.
Dammit man...I had to see this post. So much for buying a new Glock. Levitown is showing $293, is that about right? That looks really good. Look at that shiny truck too, must use Meguiars and/or 303 Graphene perhaps? Good looking truck and this just made it better.
I do an Italian tune up on mine about once a month. Doesn't this seroiusly help slow this down a bit with our engines? I don't know why they don't make a dual injection engine for the 2.3. The first gen for 2.7 and 3.5 released in 2017 were better, but now they are much better. Here is...
I tow a 3800 lb camper in the Spring and Summer about 8-10 times. I live in the Smoky Mountains and go up giant hills, around steep curves, etc. No issues at all so far.
I have a cool Dashund (Oscar) that rides with us, as hard as that is for my OCD. I fit all of the gear in the back, I'm...
Does this get every bit of oil seriously? It’s going against gravity, seems like it wouldn’t be as good as draining it, but if this saves me from getting under the truck and does the complete job, hell yeah.
