You know, this whole Tesla thing is really STUPIDLY childish. Elon only owns 12% of the stock, and many blue states have massive percentage of their retirement funds in Tesla. All those Tesla's are owned primarily by those who align with the folks damaging them. Minnesota's retirement funds are taking a major beating right now. Minnesota owns 1.8 Million Shares of Tesla. NY State is attempting to sell their entire Tesla holding while Tesla stock are low! California owns 4.9 million shares. The AFT Teacher's Union is attempting to unload thier stocks and if they do they stand to lose ~50% . The first rule of investing is tho buy low and sell high.

These folks are burning their own house down!

Evidence of the serious lack of critical thinking skills on the part of the participants.

My instinct is telling me to buy Tesla very soon. Once this protest ends the stocks are going to shoot back up. I'm just waiting for the bottom.

This applies to a great many things I see as I get older, but this war against Tesla and Elon is incredibly childish in my opinion.

May be, maybe not.

If we consider that Tesla made 1,7m cars with market cap of 1400b$ and gross profit of 4b$.

Compare it to, say, VW which made 8,95m cars with market cap of 140b$ and gross profit of 60b$, I'd say there's a bubble in Tesla.

If they can improve the profit % and quaddruple the production and sales, they may be stable at 140b$ market cap.

I see your point about Tesla. Thought provoking.

But as Gary Shilling stated in 1986, "The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent."

From a historical perspective, the entire market is way overpriced. The market (Price/Earnings Ratio) PE ratio is currently at 36. The historical median is 16. And dividend yields are at all time lows. I got wacked pretty hard in 2008-2009, and have not been back since.

And I wonder how long they can keep interest rates under control with the amount of debt out there. Here is a nice little correlation chart between of the S&P Composite Index PE ratio, and Interest rates. Note that the biggest outlier is 2008-2009.
