Was with my wife in the checkout at Walmart and little kid proceeded to do this. The dad just kept smiling at kid and said let's go which immediately took this behavior up another notch by the time the tyrant left everyone was just looking at each other like wtf.

The dad just said, "You're not my child right now!" and kept repeating it.

Of course the child immediately straightened right up.

Oh wait, that's NOT what happened.

The dad kept repeating his mantra until the mom appeared and scooped up the still wailing, flailing kid.

She looked none too pleased so I suspect she may have been the attitude adjuster of the family.

I spoke to the the kid and said 'your mom sucks huh? because you can't have that candy...' kid looked at me in shock and stopped crying. I then got yelled at by the mother. I looked at her and said 'now you know why you are embarrassed and your kid acts like an ass in the store' she glared at me and walked out.
