Holding back on another Ranger purchase - Maybe 2021 (Retirement present)

After the issue with my Ranger and the long duration without a vehicle - I am thinking it is time to keep my money (I got all but $172.00 back on the RAV), BUT it took some serious negotiation. I keep thinking about the definition of "Insanity - doing the same thing and expecting different results"

Don't get me wrong I love the Ranger for the two months I had mine - but think that in a couple of years they will have it ironed out. I will stay active on the board to learn and watch the changes.

Motor started missing, then water Pump, then dealer said it was unsafe to drive, then the Service Manager told me I better buy a Premium Warranty Package. MY Ranger was has been in the Shop since July- they still have not been able to fix it. FORD offered to buy it back on Aug 7th.

Wow, that’s terrible. Good to hear you got it sorted out! Did the issues show up right away or was it a while after you got the truck?

at about 1500 miles.

FULLSCALE - I know plenty that are enjoying flawless operation. Relax and enjoy, mine was just a fluke, I have a Jeep TJ that I am enjoying right now so I decided to wait for 2020 retooling.
