Hi HPRZ,
I transferred my little chrome caps over and was dismayed that they seemed too short as the brass of the valve stem still showed. Something has changes wrt valve stems. Looks like you have a similar situation.. Any idea if there was a change dictated by SAE or the government???

I work in the tire area for an auto manufacturer. Honestly I think it just depends on the brand of stem. We run three different TPMS stems, one with the extended cap and two with standard length.
