Well, we all know P.T. Barnum was right. There's one born every minute. :)

It's got 220k miles of use left, easily.

It's cheaper to fix than something new.

Parts are more readily available than something new.

Cheaper to insure than a new vehicle.

Way cheaper to register than a new vehicle (my 2010 cost me like 80$ to register.. my 2021 costs 1000$)

Lots less electrical crap to go wrong...

It's a high price, yeah... but you'd get your money's worth and then some.

I don't think that truck was $23K when new.
Wonder what I could get for my '99 4x4 with 235K miles?

I had one that looked a lot like that, still regret selling it. They are great trucks especially with a stick shift. I bought it used and got what I paid for it 4 years later.

You can ask any price for anything. Doesn't mean you'll get it.
I was looking at previous gen Rangers before I purchased my 2019. Prices were high back then I thought. Guy around the corner from me had one for sale, XLT, extended cab, 96k mi, 4x4, auto, seats were shot, dash broken, dings and dents, carpet shot and needed some general maintenance at a minimum. Wanted $9k. He sold it about a week later. At that point in time, I didn't want a project. If only I knew what the next 2 years had in store, I could have had it looking pretty sweet by now.
