Had the Ranger out in Anza Borrego S.P. last week to get familiar with the truck off-the-pavement. After 5 days of exploration in all types of varied terrain I will say that I am very impressed with the suspension (albeit mine is upgraded) and the Terrain Management System in general. Spent quite a bit of time in deep sand washes and on heavily wash-boarded roads, on loose, steeply rutted climbs, boulder passes, rock yards and mild boulder hopping and I was mostly pleased with performance. It was a bit tricky in some spots without a spotter riding along but I like to explore solo and that is the tradeoff. As a bonus, the digital inclinometer was fun to watch in some on the steeper terrain.

Thats a fun place, like you say many types of terrain there. On a side note, I grew up in RB ?.

Thanks for the post and great pics! I like the "Off Road" info but always forget to look or take a pic when it matters most. And it seems like my low-fuel light is always on!
